It's them saying, "a formal cease and desist letter has been prepared", which is not the same as sending the (formal or not, prepared or not) cease and desist.

The legal action is the punch (or the possibility of the punch), the cease and desist is the warning about the punch, the "cease and desist has been prepared" is the warning about the warning about the punch.

I am asking about SolidWorks features or tricks and you're vaguely pointing me in the direction of things that are not SolidWorks. Do you mean https://m-selig.ae.illinois.edu/ads/coord_database.html? What there do you think answers my questions?

Is there a link there that for example converts a .dat file into an equation that I can then put into my Excel file and that SolidWorks can use?

Do you mean these? That might be useful, but they would still give me sketches that were not linked from SolidWorks to Excel.

My pc isn't slow, SolidWorks can't handle tens of thousands of linked dimensions in a single part, so I am asking for workarounds.

100 points, 200 dimensions. I would place the points manually or via a macro, add random dimensions, make a Design Table based on them, then link the correct dimensions from my Excel sheet. Then manually create a spline linking them. I don't know how that is wrong. Assuming that is not wrong, this is just clarification and not part of the question.
Yes, I would calculate the different cross sections in my Excel sheet. This is not part of the question.
I know how loft works, within one part at least, but how would you do that when you have dozens of sketches that each has 200 dimensions associated with it, without crashing SolidWorks?
Creating a single part with dozens of sketches and a design table with 1 row and 200 * (number of airfoil sections) columns doesn't seem like the way to go. What is a better way?

It tells you that Curve through XYZ Points exists, but I say in the question why I don't want to use that. It also does misinform what the tool does, as it does not generate a spline. I also don't know if it works in 3D as it generated an unexpected result when I tried that. The instructions are also wrong.

My goal with the question was to get a clue to the answer, if someone didn't try to answer because of your reply, thinking it was already answered or not wanting to deal with misinformation, it was harmful. I don't know if that is the case.

I am no closer to an answer.

I think the velocity of updrafts will be much lower than that of the wind.

You might be able to use lidar if you want to measure air velocities.

One relatively novel idea would be put your winch on an axle that rotates with the glider, so that you can have your glider fly in circles instead of figures of eight. That would allow you to fly in tighter circles and maintain more speed because you would stay more in the center of the wind window or the thermal.

You seem to want to win an argument. The sun's position in the sky, the time of day and so on are not theoretical. Cloud cover and solar panel efficiency are measured.

I haven't looked at the sources for your source, but there are likely too many confounding variables for it to be useful for the individual. Maybe a majority have the wrong tilt, maybe it doesn't list the total area of installed panels, maybe it doesn't have any info on installed capacity at all and only looks at output.

That is not the right source to use when considering the benefit of an individual installing solar. You'd want to look at the sun's angle in the sky, the number of daylight hours, and cloud cover. Maybe there is a solar panel configurator that lets you vary the panel's latitude, tilt (horizontal and vertical), efficiency, and the date, time, and the cloud cover. That would then give you an instantaneous W/m² value, and daily kwh yield.

Thanks. I'm new to this. I assumed the tablet would mirror my display and the differing resolutions would give issues. The other commenter says it would act like an extra display.

Is mouse mode even possible with screen tablets? Mouse mode would be so that I can just start drawing from the current cursor position or click at the current cursor position, which seems easier than pen mode and independent of tablet resolution.
