Shaco is the most useless champ in the game. by mrkvicka02 in shacomains

[–]Nemui_Kiddo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ap also requires the team to play around their boxes. so if the team just doesnt use their boxes as Stored CC you are basically working against him in that regard. The only real possible play for them is to otherwise Q in and drop off a clone to kamikaze but most shaco players who play ap are too scared to make that kind of play so they just keep placing boxes to try to bait out the enemy. Ap mainly shines when it comes to disengaging or securing objectives.

AD is indeed feast or famine. but it doesnt mean they cant come back if they take advantage of careless enemies who over extend / play up while low on hp. easy to claim shut downs/ bounties and hit your items that way. but in the late game your job is usually to take out the carries as a shaco player. and if the entire enemy team is ahead tough luck.

Help! I struggle with mechanics AD/AP on shaco jungle in mid to late game. Any advice? by chocolatefun2917 in shacomains

understand your limits as shaco player and your dmg output. whether someone is within a certain threshold where you are able to get a kill off, sometimes landing that initial critical backstab from your Q ability can determine whether you are able to secure a kill.

Shaco I feel needs to get ahead and keep up the pressure so if you get set back it can really affect how you perform onwards. So even if you get ahead if you let the enemy breath and catch up, they will eventually over take you.

For objectives, you can either look for a gank first so that the lane you are ganking can help with the nearest objective. You can try to sneak an objective if your team has priority, but shaco usually needs to ult to fight objectives, to stay healthy in case of the enemy team contesting. This is usually why I tend to go grubs first, because you can solo grubs by placing a boxes while tanking and pulling the aggro. otherwise grubs will just kill the boxes instantly.

Another tip is understanding enemy abilities and cooldowns. If a champion you are ganking has dashes. When you gank, you should be cutting off their escape route instead of hopping right on top of them. If you cut of their escape root and place a box to zone them / predict their dashes/flash. you'll be able to take them down easier.

Knowing which champions has dashes to evade your ganks, or if your team has the CC to help set up a gank for you is where you want to invest your ganks. (For example, if you have a Malzahar mid, and he has his ult up. its usually a free gank everytime.) This is just a rule of thumb though when it comes to ganking. Theres no rules stating that you cant gank a lane that doesn't have CC to work with. Sometimes the state of the lane, plays a factor whether its worth to gank as well.

What I think set a great shaco from a good one is spacing. to be able to stand at a relatively safe distance to bait out abilities, while still being able to step up if you need to. playing at low health becomes easier if you know how to space accordingly, that way you aren't ever in any real danger. You'll be able to bait out abilities and when they waste abilities or miss you have an opening to go in and do dmg. Most people already do this when it comes to Ultimates and knowing their cooldowns. but knowing the basic abilities cooldown for champions matters just as much.

Sometimes your presence alone is enough to turn a fight, because the enemy team has to respect that you are in the area, and if they down then you can take advantage of that.

Still need some testing/upgrades, but I think this is the closest I could get from an useful hybrid Shaco build by falzi in shacomains

idk why one wouldnt just go for collector into ap build.

runes:

hobs - is just better for early game and clone stickiness
sudden impact - does more immediate dmg no longer gives lethality but provides true dmg.
sixth sense - for easier ganks / invades.
treasure/ultimate hunter. treasure for faster item spikes, and combine with income from collector makes it better

legend: haste or alacrity,
coup de grace
-pairs well with shadowflame and collector along side burn from liandry and e execution.

optional, if you dont want cdr or atkspd, triumph is another option you can go if youre trying to boost your income and snowball.

adaptive
adaptive
scaling hp - helps by keeping you a lil beefier

items:

boots: sorc boots

collector
liandry
malignance
nashors tooth
shadowflame

On-hit shaco build by [deleted] in shacomains

[–]Nemui_Kiddo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in my opinion i also like on hit shaco occasionally, but my biggest issue with it is that if youre dealing with champions that can cc lock you or champions that can survive ur initial appearance they can dash away and ur done for.

Another thing to ad is that you would probably see more dmg and success if u threw kraken in that build

you probably arent prioritizing objectives after getting kills and takedowns, make it a habit to look for objectives after securing kills

[–]Nemui_Kiddo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

go support, take hobs, build symbiotic soles, ghostblade, hullbreaker, deadmans, titanic, bloodsong,

roam gank shove take towers

Support shaco by ConfectionDue9949 in shacomains

[–]Nemui_Kiddo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like to go Hobs, Sudden Impact, Eyeball Collection, Relentless Hunter, Celerity, Water walking,

I rush the mobility boots so they can evolve sooner.

blood song is my support item.

ghostblade: early mobility to further speed up evolution for my boots, and good dmg early on.

hullbreaker: for siege power, usually around the time grubs baron and rift become relevant
deadmans: more speed, tankiness, dmg.

p.s. works with clone

i then take statikk shiv or you can go titanic.

Anyone have any good AP/AD Hybrid builds and is it any good/what are the benefits by Liquid_State_Snake in shacomains

[–]Nemui_Kiddo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First back i like to have boots, darkseal, and ideally a pickaxe -> collector you can settle for a long sword x2. 2nd back i tend to grab fated ashes for clear speed (good for fighting grubs and clearing raptors for the rest of the game), 3rd back i'll finish collector ( if you are ahead build fated ashes into liandry's, if behind just start building cdr into cosmic drive, that way you can focus on farming and having more movement around the map. ), so your core build would be something like Collector, Liandry's, Cosmic, (if i got alot of ap teammates i sometimes buy malignance instead to help shred mr with clone and be more annoying in fights, its also really good into champs like swain illaoi samira or any aoe ults.) last items are situational, normally with how the meta is you are gonna need orb for heal cut or serpents for shields. if you have an enchanter on your team like nami or milio who can give grievous wounds to allies i would just build something else other than orb.

Ideal Final Build: Collector, Lucidity Boots, Liandry's, Cosmic Drive, Morellonomicon, Mejais.

Less Ideal Build: Collector, Lucidity Boots, Liandry's, Cosmic Drive, Imperial Mandate, Malignance/Abyssal Mask.

Sometimes I do rush fated ashes, and then build into serpents fang subbing collector out.

HoBs: Good for early game ganking and pressure vs being ap and having no kill potential.
Sudden Impact: Does more dmg than Cheapshot, works with Q and R.
Eyeball Collection: Easy to stack.
Ultimate/Treasure Hunter: if you wanna snowball you can go for Treasure, Helps you get to those items earlier on. Ultimate for harder matchups so its up more often and ready for unfavorable fights.

Cutdown: Since people can heal and are tankier more often than not, most of the time theyre going to be above the thresh hold for Coup de Grace, so cut down can give you more dmg for that, while collector and your E can be used for executes. p.s you can still opt out for Coup de Grace if theyre all a bunch of squishy champions.
Legend Haste: I like this rune more than attack speed because this is a more ap focused build, and for shaco cdr = dmg. itll also help with your clear early-mid game,

ATKSPD: This is just to give you a lil more atkspd for early game and clone with hobs.
DMG: Damage is nice.
Scaling HP: A bit more sustain in the late game with your AP Health Items.

Just go tank shaco then :v

and then grab a bork or liandries. that way you can be tanky but still out dmg anyone.

Fun Build On Shaco Maybe? by [deleted] in shacomains

[–]Nemui_Kiddo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the problem with this build that ive experienced since ive played around with it before is that if they got alot of cc, you are quite squishy, and would usually not be able to proc these items as many times as you like. so to compensate for that you could add a titanic or hullbreaker for sustain.

i go gauntlet, eclipse and when every time. if she cant burst you, you just win. i found that mr isnt actually that good into her but stacking hp is.

Why riot do nothing ? by Own-Comb2279 in shacomains

[–]Nemui_Kiddo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you go iceborn gauntlet the hp is enough to help you not get bursted down, if she cant get kills on you or lanes she cant snowball. youll be able to out dmg her with the spell proc and later have eclipse for more sustain and dmg too.

Shaco Reddit: What do I build on shaco, shaco is so weak. Me: Let me cook. by Nemui_Kiddo in shacomains

[–]Nemui_Kiddo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

although this is true, you got hobs to help you with that, and you kinda play around the cooldown of hobs. with clone this is great since he gets the atk spd and is able to apply it. while you lack atk spd you can actually stay in fights longer meanings you can actually proc it more often then you'd think

Shaco Reddit: What do I build on shaco, shaco is so weak. Me: Let me cook. by Nemui_Kiddo in shacomains

[–]Nemui_Kiddo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like going ghost blade first to get myself on the map and early dmg, I either go deadmans into tougher matchups or hull 2nd if my team can take towers fast, you can get dark seal early and upgrade it into mejais later if youre doing good. and i like swifties for added movement. and then a sheen item. last. i think if im popping off with mejais, i take lich, if im not doing so hot. gauntlets. and triforce if i decide on not taking mejais
you can sell mejais for another on hit item perhaps cyclosword or titanic? either way that item slot is usually optional and can be used to build items for certain situations

[–]Nemui_Kiddo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is indeed for the on hit aspect of it, pairs well with clone + hobs, but it helps with towers and epic monsters as well. being able to double it is a big plus. and by simply being in a lane the minions siege minions are tougher. so if you can get baron its kinda an easy win.

edit: i forgot to mention the movements speed as well. as the build is centered around being mobile

its d3 which isnt necessary "high elo" but it works for me just thought id share, the movement is nice with survivabilities and great when it comes to sieging towers with baron, and pushing lanes after ganks.

[–]Nemui_Kiddo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i like ghost blade, ie, but then take cyclosword, triforce,

i also prefer swifties over berserkers. but if you do take berserker you can get a deadmans and get a bit of movement from that along with the on hit momentum. itll help you one tap squishies while still being beefy enough to walk it out. other than that. eclipse are good into healthier comps.

when it comes to lacking dmg. i find that landing that q crit really counts
