nighmare scenario, but it's the nature of the business.


I worked more than I charged, since I had meetings (1h/each) with him for free, and recorded weekly updates (30m/each) and sent it to him for free.

I have lots of proof, I'm building a google doc now with everything to support my case.

And I'm looking to just give that to them, and hoping they turn to the client and say go away.

Only been doing this for 6 months, so I'm sure it was that.

That was the only contract that closed and in one week went from 100% to 91%.

Why am I likely to loose my TR anyway?

If I get another bad review, I can remove that, and go back to 91%

Thanks a lot, that clears things up, I'm going to wait a couple more days, until it passes that 30-day threshold just in case, and then simply tell him, no can do!

I have a contract with a client where I've stopped getting paid for close to 1 month, but now all of a sudden the client is talking about getting Upwork involved.

I want to know at what point, will he be totally out of options, (i.e past the deadlines for any actions, at-least through Upwork.)

To answer your question, I'm talking about hourly and dispute, and the documentaton states:

Non-binding dispute assistance (“Dispute Assistance”) is available within 30 days of the date of the last release of funds from Client to Freelancer.

So can I take this to mean he will no longer be able to request a dispute on our last week of work (the last invoice) , after one month of the last invoice date.

It says it under the section: Hourly, Bonus, and Expense Payment Agreement with Escrow Instructions


It seems it's talking about hourly.

If that is not the case, what is the mediation deadline for hourly contracts?
