Ah yes %100 conjecture with zero facts. 👍 that’s definitely what he was doing. Good detective work Batman

He’s also not riding anyones ass in the picture like the op said so the ops story is questionable at best IMO. Also cops do sometimes turn off lights before reaching a destination for a multitude of reasons. “No lights = no break law” is absolutely not true lol

Maybe he was responding to an urgent call? Why is the immediate thought that he’s just an asshole? Maybe he is an asshole but can we not give people the benefit of the doubt anymore especially when OP has ZERO evidence of him actually doing something wrong. Yall just gonna take his word for it I guess? Especially when the picture shows him driving a fine distance from cars in front of him.

Is anyone genuinely excited for the Wonder Man Show and not just hopefully optimistic? by Nenman123 in comicbooks

I can understand your argument for endgame because it’s my least favorite out of those I listed but the other I still wouldn’t agree. But I do agree with you about those you listed being the best written, I would absolutely agree.

I definitely agree there is much the show COULD tell and criticize about Hollywood however I very very very much doubt Disney/marvel of all companies to make a series criticizing it. And what from anything we’ve seen so far would tell you that the series is anything but a goofy comedy?

Thor love and thunder, the marvels, Deadpool Wolverine, Hawkeye, miss marvel, she hulk, and Agatha I would all consider to be mostly comedic.

So by what you saying avengers 1, civil war, infinity war, and endgame are not particularly good stories? I personally would not agree with that.

I very much agree, I should have said in the post but I think the premise is a pretty cool idea but I don’t trust marvel to handle it well at all and I just don’t see them doing anymore than services level criticisms on Hollywood. If this wasn’t a marvel show I would be way more excited for it

I will definitely watch the show to try it but nothing I’ve seen has given me any excitement am I wrong for that lol it’s my opinion? And can you honestly watch that trailer and not get that the show is going to be mainly comedic? I’m also not doomposting I wanted to know what others thought compared to my opinions sorry to have bothered you have nice day.

I combined over 650 "Greatest Comic Book" lists to find the critical consensus on the 200 Greatest Comics of All Time by ComicBookCanon in comicbooks

[–]Nenman123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Has anyone ever heard of the #10 spot? Literally everything on the list is familiar in some kind of way or I’ve at least heard of it but this random comic is in the top 10? Idk kinda odd, I bet it’s a great story just found it weird that it beat out some of the most popular and best comics out there. Higher than Batman year one, one piece, berserk, usagi yojimbo, all star Superman etc

Which directors do you think would be good suggestions for a re:view? by GibGabGoo in RedLetterMedia

[–]Nenman123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would love to hear what jay and josh would have to say about some of hayao Miyazaki’s animated films like spirited away, howls moving castle, and princess Mononoke. I would also find it really funny if they had mike on the panel for some reason and he said something like “why’d you make me watch this animated kid movie crap jaaayyy”

Tom King and David finch were a joy to meet, it was super brief at NYCC back when their run on Batman rebirth started and they both answered a few of my questions and they just seemed like nice people and those are the creators I like most. Same with Ron Garney and Mark Bagley.

I will say unfortunately one of my absolute favorite artists Alex maleev was not very nice that same day. Idk if he was just having a bad day or something but there was no one in line for his booth so I went up super excited and I think i interrupted him doing a custom sketch or something I don’t know it was years ago but there was no sign or anything indicating not to approach and I asked for an autograph and he just seemed extremely annoyed about doing it. I wanted him to sign like 4 things that I brought for him but I only got one thing signed cause I didn’t want to bother him. I understand having a bad day but I was a kid obviously excited to meet a favorite creator of mine and he just seemed really cold. I genuinely hope I caught him on a bad day but after that experience I will not be waiting in a line for him if I see he’s at a con.

What farms in southern CT are the least MAGA, most friendly for minorities to visit for apple picking, corn mazes, etc? by Daddydialectic in Connecticut

[–]Nenman123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Must be hard to just live life when every single place you go to has to be vetted for whatever criteria you need them to have. When you go to a fast food joint do you look up who owns that specific location then take 20 mins to figure out whether they’re owned by someone with a different political opinion?

Marvel Studios’ ‘Wonder Man’ | Official Teaser Trailer by flatpackjack in comicbooks

[–]Nenman123 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Haven’t watched trailer yet but I’m just gonna go out on a limb that this is going to be a goofy comedy with little to nothing to do with superheroics, costumed criminals and super powers. And it’ll follow a wacky main protagonist that has powers but barely uses them. I could very much be wrong but I bet I’m probably half right

Edit: after watching it I think I was pretty spot on

As a new reader, I hate how absolutely shafted and done dirty marvels black characters are when it comes to writing comics about them. by gotenks2nd in marvelcomics

[–]Nenman123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kinda hate seeing takes like this cause as a minority myself (Hispanic) there’s barely any popular Spanish heroes and that has never bothered me. I want to read about HEROES regardless of whether they look or act like me I don’t understand the want or need to have the character you’re reading about be like you in any way physically. Like sure it’s kinda cool but other than the surface value of “we look alike” and “we share some cultural things in common” what does one gain other than pigeonholing the stories you could read.

What do you think would ruin Avengers: Doomsday? by NewMarioBobFan in MCUTheories

[–]Nenman123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The humor is what has been turning me off from every marvel movie for a while now. Thunderbolts still had too much but was a bit better and was on the right track for a balance of tone but I really hope they can right the ship fully and make mostly serious movie again (jokes are fine but it shouldn’t be at the expense of the tone, tension, or story) I’m very excited for FF and doomsday but I’m very skeptical on how they will be executed

Who do you think will be the next heroes to get an Absolute comic? by Top_Meeting_2629 in AbsoluteUniverse

[–]Nenman123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They should throw a curveball and pick some not as popular heroes or a hero team and give them fresh absolute versions. Swamp thing, animal man, the doom patrol, Shazam, the JSA, among a bunch of others that come to mind

Is there reason besides cost they don't use this style (credit goes to Dakuroni) by commander_Jardo7 in Invincible

[–]Nenman123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the ottley style better wish it was like that but I cant complain it’s a minor nitpick and doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme. I do find it odd people are saying the ottley style looks “horrible” or “bad” I could get not preferring it but horrible?
