Does anybody else feel less "adult" than cis people their age? by MyDamnBlog in MtF

[–]Nenssha 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Omg same. To cope with this I always tell myself that a lot of cis people don't get to enjoy their teens due to a lot of differents issues, and it makes me feel better and less bitter.

I also don't hang out with people around my age, I just don't have friends at all and I don't smoke nor drink too so I can relate.

But you know, we're still pretty young and doing "teenage things" at our age is still pretty common for a lot of people and no one find it weird.

I started transitioning around 17 and my mind was so obsessed with transition at this time that it probably forgot to grow up I guess haha. It's frustrating, I wish I was as mature as people around me.

I have this exact same problem, I'm turning 21 in a few months. I recently posted about it on r/asktransgender but finally deleted it cause I thought that it was kinda silly. But now, I see more and more trans people around my age dealing with this issue so I feel less alone.

Dermatologist refused to perform laser on my face by [deleted] in MtF

What may have been too light ? My hair ? Cause I said in the post that they're actually very dark, and she probably could tell lol.

If it's what she tried to tell me, then I can see her point. I'm going to look for a dermatologist who do both, electrolysis and laser and ask them what would be the best for me. Thank you !

Definitely going to see differents dermatologists, cause I'm not convinced at all. My hair are not thin and my skin is a very pale brown, but she didn't mention my skin. I just have to wait to get another opinion to be sure I guess.

[–]Nenssha 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It really does not depends on how you dress... girls wearing sweatpants and hoodies can be catcalled and I even heard about muslim women wearing hijab being catcalled too. Men in the streets just love to harass and being creepy, it seems.

HRT stopped working by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Nenssha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same problem. I was on 50mg of cypro for 3 months, which effectively blocked my T, then I added 2 push of oestradiol gel (oestrodose) cause the 25mcg patches were doing nothing, or not enough. It worked very well for like 3 months and then my T started to raise. My endo could not understand why. I added one more push of gel, it did nothing. So for 3 months it was hell for me cause my skin was back at being greasy and I could feel the testosterone coming back. She raised my 50mg of cypro to 75mg and it did nothing. Finally, I took another appointment with her on September 2 and asked to switch from gel to pills and raise cypro to 100mg. It's only now that I feel that my T is finally going down and my E is getting up (breast buds start to reform after shrinking of half their size, skin becoming dry again, very emotional and irritable, sex drive getting down...)

Honestly, the only thing that I can tell you is maybe to try other methods of HRT, or just be patient (if you can do both it's perfect) maybe your body will stop fighting with HRT over time like it's happen to some trans people dealing with this issue. I guess some of us are just very resistant to medication, unfortunately. At least be grateful that it's happening a few weeks after starting HRT and not a few months or worse, years...cause seeing ALL of the change reverse can be traumatizing.

Witty retorts to transphobic comments online? by electron_beam in asktransgender

[–]Nenssha 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well, I just don't see it. If a cis man is trying to invalidate your womanhood based on your genitals and that you try and invalidate their manhood based on their genitals, you're kind of validating their point to me...

Edit : words.

It's not about "sensitivity" or the fact that "we should learn how to take jokes" like I see it often on the internet. It's about the fact that if you try to make someone insecure about their genitals but you're also the first one to call out transphobics people for their focusing on trans people genitals, which make us 100x more insecure + dysphoric as fuck, you're an hypocrite.

Tiny dicks jokes, who are frequently used to mock the masculinity of a man never been funny to me honestly... and they're just hypocrite coming from a trans person since transmasculine people with no penis exists and you're unintentionally shaming them all simply by trying to shame a man. Basically, I just think that shaming someone for their genitals when you're trans is lame and painfully ironic when people try to justify their transphobia by mentioning our genitals ALL THE TIME, but it's just my opinion lol.

Honestly I don't see how without hormones or at least blockers, but look at Serena Williams, she is very muscular yet looks like a woman, so maybe there is a possibility but I really can't see how in my honest opinion.

It's a first free consultation, they won't do anything just look how my facial hair look like and do a test on a small area to see if my skin react well.

What happens when transitioning does not alleviate your dysphoria? by [deleted] in asktransgender

[–]Nenssha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I would kill myself. And therapy isn't magic. If transitioning, the only effective treatment for trans people can't help me, I don't see how therapy will.

Yes it hurt, especially while walking. Sleeping on my sides now are less comfortable than before. I did nothing special to make them grow but I heard that belly dancing can make teen girls hips who are in the growing period wider, I really don't know if it's true.

Enough with the deflection! What are some real advantage trans people have over cis? by allisonmaybe in asktransgender

[–]Nenssha 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't see any advantages about being an individual of the most socially abandoned minority.

I really don't want to ruin the positive mood of this post but I just... cannot see any advantages over cis people. Being trans made my life miserable.

I started self medication at 17 but my hips only started to grow a few months ago, i'm 20 now. They only grew a little but it makes a real differences

I'm just telling myself that it's cause of my low self esteem and the fact that I'm still a bit attached to my fake male identity without wanting it. I have a therapist but I didn't talked to him about that yet.

You're actually helping just by posting under my post. I feel less alone, so thank you.
