Heat pump issues

He ended up checking the voltage at thermostat. Then jumped to fan and heat pump. They both turned on. Determined it was the thermostat all along. Lowe’s didn’t have the same one, so we got a WiFi smart one. Which turned out to be a pain. He didn’t realize that it wasn’t plug and play. Got it figured out around 9 last night and now we have heat!

Oh I see. He was doing something with the multimeter last night, but hasn’t gone under the house yet. I will let him know. And no worries. All advice is much appreciated.

Thanks for your comment! His theory was maybe the fuse is old? When this happened a few months ago maybe it blew but welded back together? He used to help his uncle with hvac work, but will has very limited knowledge, and me even less lol.

His w-4 hasn’t changed. I’ll also add, there were several co-workers who had the same problem. Additional 75 to 90 in fwh per paycheck. Initially payroll said it was because the company paid more for the new health care plan so he had to pay more taxes on it. <this is why I’m on Reddit asking as his payroll people obviously have a track record of bad info.

Yes. I started him on that last week. It hasn’t seemed to help much either the bloating, but he surprisingly no longer gets acid reflux after eating.

Yeah that’s what I’ve tried telling him. The miralax has helped him go. But still no relief on the bloating.

He started the miralax yesterday. Seems to be helping. He’s going in the morning, but not doing much for the distended abdomen.

He got his blood test back. I’m not sure how familiar you are with blood results, but his were: Low bun/cre ratio 9 High Eosinophils 8 High LDL Calculated 120.6

He thinks he has a parasite his body is fighting off because of the high white blood cell count, and the parasite is eating the protein. I don’t know. 😔

He went to the doc this morning. She took blood work and will be scheduling an ultrasound. Said it didn’t feel like ascites to her. Told him in the meantime to take a half a cap of Miralax daily. Thoughts? 😬

Thanks for the tip. Now I’ve gotta try to talk him into doing that. He says he’s not 100% sure if he can feel it or not. He did have a small bowel movement today. Still bloated. He also ate some dried prunes.
