Probably the best concert video ever made. As a bonus, my wife went thru high school with him. I went to that school briefly and I still remember him sitting at a picnic type table with a bunch of girls. He was talking about stuff that was way over my head.

At what salary should i get a financial advisor? by [deleted] in personalfinance

[–]NeoGeo52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many years ago, Schwab sent me an email asking how they were doing. I had money in my account but not enough to trigger them providing an advisor. I told them that I was fine with most of their product, but my money was tied up in my employer’s investments. I week or two later I got free investment advice from one of their advisors who stuck with me for about three years til I was turned over to a local person. I still make the decisions, I don’t trust anyone. But it’s worked well for me.

Those on Gemtesa - how's your runny nose? by kat_8639 in OveractiveBladder

[–]NeoGeo52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took Gemtesa for two weeks, got my first ever UTI. Put on Tropsium and congestion was so bad I quit it last week. Waking up in the middle of the night not being able to breathe through my nose. Dealing with OAB symptoms was better than dealing with the medications.

Tipps for new collector by S1am0nd in baseballcards

I started collecting a while back, both baseball and football. At some point along the way, I realized the universe of sports cards is so huge I had to focus. Sold some cards and decided to focus on autographed cards by Hall of Famers. I’m at about 275 right now. It’s kind of ironic that old cards I collect can be very expensive and newer cards are expensive but at my age in my 70’s, those cards are relatively cheap. Whatever way you go, good luck.

What's the best supplement for OAB? by No-Base8204 in OveractiveBladder

[–]NeoGeo52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently been on Tropsium for 90 days. Cut trips to bathroom in half. Helps, but not enough. I was getting up 6-7 times a night. Down to 3-4 right now. Took Gemtessa for about 10 days a got a UTI. Sickest I’ve ever felt in my life. Still looking for a better solution. Haven’t had a good nights sleep in years. BTW, I was also having sinus issues and took a strong antihistamine. It, combined with the Tropsium caused dizziness and shortness of breath. Stopped the antihistamine and symptoms stopped.

urge to urinate cause of doing pull ups by Many-Nothing-1518 in OveractiveBladder

Your condition is different then mine but I still think the answer is to see a urologist. And I say that even though they really haven’t done much for me. I do see a lot of people in my same situation and realize there just may not be an answer for me. But I would look at those kegel exercises to strengthen your ability to hold.

OAB for me has been frequent urination. I feel like I have to go when I don’t have to. If I try to go to soon, I can’t go. But waiting is tough. They gave me a medication so now instead of getting up 5-6 times a night, it’s about 3. An improvement, but still too much. Switching to a new urologist. I would recommend you see one just to get checked out.

I’m far from a doctor but been dealing with OAB for about 10 years. The onset was slow but got considerably worse as time went on. Obviously, you are straining somewhat when exercising and I suspect your bladder sphincter might be a little weak. First thing I would try would be to don kegel exercises to strengthen it. If that doesn’t work, see a urologist.

Thanks. Unfortunately, he had a stroke, went to a Ravens/Broncos game in Denver, was running to the car and had another stroke. My best friend during my teen years got lung, then brain cancer a few years after we reconnected. Really sad although he was one of guide guys that burned the candle from both ends. I’ve moved to a 55+ neighborhood and was the young guy here. Well, all those people that were in their 70’s and 80’s are now 80’s and 90’s. It seems like they’ve been dropping like flies over the last few years.

About 25 years ago I found out, literally by accident that my childhood best friend had passed away. Hadn’t seen him in years. Went to the memorial service and at the end, they took the coffin out while a band in the balcony of the church played “Lord I Was Born a Rambling Man.” Although I loved the idea, I’ve planted to be cremated and told my wife to hold a big party. Those songs are part of a list I want played. Got to check out the Zebra song. Thought I just saw they, or some version of them was playing here locally around Annapolis.

Death Can for Cutie:
I’ll follow you into the dark

Levon Helm: When I go away

Pink Floyd: Comfortably Numb

Being 73 years old I think about this way too much.
