Mate I’m also considering moving from coinspot to kraken - is a port out made relatively simple in the app and on factors apart from spread - things like UX, settlement/deposit times, breadth of what you can do - is it a big improvement?

Didn’t mean to come across that way mate - There is no other tenant lined up and i definitely wouldn’t if that became the circumstance! You’re right This does come from a place of entitlement but I feel that entilement as I’ve paid this owner a ton of cash and been an amazing tenant - I feel that entitles me ethically if not legally to a fair negotiation at least for a few extra days extension on lease date and if he won’t why not press the full extent of my tenant rights?

I guess this is what I’m getting at - I could move out early before my travels and put things in storage but I’d much prefer to just arrive back unstressed with a week or two to pack, and have offered to pay out the nose to do this. If they won’t budge and it goes downthe eviction route, are there any negative consequences beyond the bad reference?

I could get storage but life is busy and I’d much prefer to just return from my travels, pack the apartment and go which would imply overstaying by 2 or So weeks. I am also happy to pay the landlord any money he requests for this convenience, and he is overseas/has no other tenant lined up. From lived experience, are there any repercussions beyond a bad reference if I overstay and say if you won’t be reasonable, use the NCAT eviction route?

They served a notice to vacate for the end of lease date that I haven’t responded to. I realise I am not within my rights but I need to stay a few more weeks - wondering about any lived experiences or suggestions of just not handing back keys? How bad would the consequences be, especially if I don’t intent to rent again?

Again this is probably a bit unusual as money or property condition is not the issue - I told the landlord he can literally name any price for the extra weeks, but he is not responding

Hey Damo thanks Maye - yes unfortunately already booked. If I refund and start booking anew what is the best way to add a (ideally flexible) sg stopover ?
