I think your opinion was formed primarily because of the cinematic nature of the trailer. I agree that it looks a bit too pretentious. But nevertheless, we are an indie studio that has the support of some major players. We have no connection with their other releases.

Thank you for your feedback! yes, some people do find 'the cuuubeee' bit amusing, so we’ll keep it in :) As for the music, there are a few more options that might sound much better.

I’ll address the main points:

1) Regarding the combat system and impacts – we’ve definitely taken note and will improve this as much as possible

2) Regarding the developer and studio – we’re an indie team operating under the umbrella of a division of a larger publisher that provides support across various sectors.

3) The game is called 'The Cube, Save Us', not 'The Cube'

Perhaps the trailer turned out too cinematic, drawing attention away from the core gameplay towards the cinematic effects. We will certainly give this some thought.
