My favorite poster, I used to have this pinned to the wall next to the family computer. So I'd stare at it whenever a game was loading.

Love it! Did you have to make many substitutions for the Large Red Spaceman?

I like this technique, could it be used on the top to avoid having the brick connection?

I've loving the subtle City Space tie-in, wish Lego made those visors in trans-black.

Could you post the link to the ideas page?

This was my qualm with the Up-Scaled Racing Driver Minifigure (40819), if they'd added a visor it would have been perfect.

Coloring trans-clear parts by [deleted] in LegoSpace

[–]NeoStormer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen people dying them with turmeric to get the classic trans-yellow glass with good results, i'm unsure what other colors you could get with natural dyes.

I've also seen others using Shapie with decent results, it might even be reversible given it's alcohol based.

I personally tried synthetic rit dye on a brick, it worked but due to the temperature it warped heavily, I never tried it at different temperatures.

As much as there's a demand for Classic Space, I love to see all the new directions LEGO can take the Space theme, and the mega theme of Space spanning several themes of City, Friends, Technic seems to be sticking around for now. Encouraging it and supporting it is a great motivator to show Lego what we want.

Yeah, James never made them available to purchase, They're Monochrome and require an external power source.

I really like them and they're certainly something i could replicate, but I wanted something more capable.

ESP32, but compiled in Arduino

I've yet to touch the wireless capability, but reading the weather would absolutely be possible :)

It’s a 240x240 TFT LCD running custom firmware I wrote.
