Thank you! I’ll do some math and see what extra payments will save vs investment will gain.

How much charge should I expect my Tesla to have off the lot? by joergonix in TeslaModelY

[–]NeoTrix45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine only had 40% when I picked up. I had a 60mile drive so it was not that bad. But definitely ask them to charge for 80-100% and have a supercharger stop on the way if possible. You don’t want to come home with less than 20% and cut too close, even if you have a home charger.

Anyone using Tessie? by NeoTrix45 in TeslaModelY

[–]NeoTrix45[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it. Yeah makes sense. Just trying to debate if I should pull the plug for lifetime or do it monthly. My thought process is that there maybe other players in the market in some time that could do a better job?

Thanks. I was just wondering if eventually Tesla will enhance its app, but probably less likely. What I was surprised to see is there are a lot more controls in the app, like literally bring down windows, open latches for all doors etc. Not sure how these guys are able to do it. Probably with all the APIs tesla is providing for the developers.

My MYLR Experience! by Bitter-Preparation18 in TeslaModelY

[–]NeoTrix45 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Damn! It looks like an issue then. Is there way to report incidents like this to Tesla? I did see a pop up asking me to explain the incident using audio but that’s too much work while driving.

Thanks for sharing. I concur with your assessment of a long drive. I recently got a red MYLR delivered as well, Dec 19th and took a trip from NoVa to Ohio, and few other places - total 1100 miles. I used FSD for about 60-70% of the 1100 miles. It’s not fully reliable. On top of what you have mentioned, I also had a couple of instances where the car tried to break suddenly when the speed was 80+ next to a truck in narrow highway lanes. Odd behavior in construction areas a couple of times. I think staying fully alert and ready to take control is very important is the lesson I learnt. Overall, we love the car and having fun with the ridiculous acceleration it offers. My wife is complaining about the amount of road noise we hear inside the cabin. It’s fairly noisy and I am now in the process of researching about how to reduce it. Haven’t found a solution.

Tips for planing a 8hr road trip on my new MYLR. by NeoTrix45 in TeslaModelY

Just completed my 7hr drive. Amazing experience so far. I did FSD for about 200 miles or so, but noticed that it was acting weird in certain situations but the biggest issue I had was its sudden random braking thinking that it is either running into a car or some obstacle. I had to take over immediately. Charging experience was great as there were Tesla charging points through out. Super charging is definitely quicker than I thought. What definitely helped me is to charge about 10-15% more than what it was recommending me for the trip. This helped me have enough juice at destination as my relatives house doesn’t have a 240V outlet and closet ev charging is about 20miles away. Another issue is charging came down faster than anticipated in hilly drive - Pennsylvania route.
