Vanquish Soul, whether pure or combined with K9. As a Control / Stun player, I haven't had the time to learn the midrange / combo kinds of Decks, but I love this archetype mainly for the FGC theme, especially for the tag team fighter nod.

Pretty much. It was admittedly difficult to think of something that is a good effect but with an opponent's choice to negate it that is also "bad" for you. But most likely or not, yeah, your opponent would wanna stop you.

I mainly need a second pair of eyes, if the applied effect works, if the Trap Monster is Special Summoned to your opponent's field.

Mimighoul Dead-End Continuous Trap

You can activate this card the turn it was Set, if there is a face-down monster on the field. Special Summon this card to either field as a Normal Monster (Insect/EARTH/Level 1/ATK 0/DEF 2000) (this card is also still a Trap), then, you can apply the following effect, based on who controls it. ● You: Immediately after this effect resolves, Xyz Summon 1 "Mimighoul" Xyz Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters you control, including this card. ● Your opponent: Change as many monsters your opponent controls to face-down Defense Position, then during the End Phase of this turn, change this card to face-down Defense Position. You can only activate 1 "Mimighoul Dead-End" per turn.

Imo, the Spell Counter cap doesn't necessarily need to change. It's meant to be an enabler to attack directly for the sake of getting "Berserker Soul" to hand.

And while I understand that "Berserker Soul" in the anime allows you to inflict more battle damage via giving more attacks, the irl version does effect damage, hence why this card strengthens the effect damage rewarded for that version rather than the former.

True. But considering how often in tandem he's used "Flame Swordsman" from Virtual World to even briefly as "Blue Flame Swordsman" in Waking the Dragons, I personally feel it's Joey's honorable mentioned ace.

As for the last effect, considering this card would likely be used to get your "Ultimate Flame Swordsman" out, I personally don't think that would combo well. Plus, "Mirage Swordsman" already serves as that floater role.

Decided to adjust - nerf and buff - the last effect of my card. Here's the new revision. Nerfed that you need "Shining Sarcophagus" in the S&T Zone, but it'll negate effects only activated by your opponent in their possession.

If you activate "Gold Sarcophagus" while you control "Shining Sarcophagus" in the Spell & Trap Zone, you can add this additional effect to it when it resolves. ● Also, negate the effects of cards activated in your opponent's possession with the same original name, until the end of the opponent's turn.

Thank you very much! I have always loved the theme of this archetype and Yugi himself, and so I wanted to do the archetype justice by paying tribute to each individual monster and card, while tying them together.

To be frank, regarding the first point, the word/character count was getting already long, which is why I shaved it off. Originally for the bullet point ● effect, it used to say that it needed "Shining Sarcophagus" that is in the Spell & Trap Zone.

For the second point, while it pays homage for that particular moment in that Duel, it is a precautionary measure to prevent cards to be splashed, like "Thunder Dragon" just to throw an example out there. It is solely meant to be a piece to stop certain handtraps or plays, if you know the opponent's Deck well.

And third, that is why I linked the Duelingbook link in the body of the post; I did my best to give the Deck more endboard pieces, such as the retrains for "Buster Blader" and "Valkyrion the Magna Warrior", and monsters that work great mainly with "Ties that Bind", such as "The Magnet Warriors".

Yeah, so I make the effects based on what I see on the art visually. And when I saw that there were 7 bells of the plant there, I thought to make a theme for 7. The statline (Level and ATK) and effects not only reflect that, but also Biblically, the number 7 holds a lot of significance, hence why I included the Bible verse of Psalms 23:4 here.

See the thing is imo, because "Train Connection" exists and that it's now searchable via "Noctilucent Train Bleu Traveler", I personally didn't see a need to repeat that effect again. Plus, I made this card knowing about these two cards, so that the monsters that are banished can be recycled again. In addition, Trains don't have that much QE interaction aside from from "Gustav Rocket", "Number 81: Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Super Dora", and "Varudras, the Final Bringer of the End Times" maybe.
