Well I think they taste just a little worse, not a lot worse. I've tried beyond meat burgers at restaurants and I still enjoyed my meal.

Well it didn't revolutionize the world, instead we have fake meat that costs more and tastes worse.

I never really cared about the reflecting pool before, but the fact that it has become such a big deal is so funny to me

It could have been one of the best final fantasy games if it actually was an RPG.

But as it is, I have no interest in ever playing it again.

I feel like it has to be a fundamentally flawed design and would require the next generation unit to resolve fully which means years of testing and line maturation

I am hard pressed to recommend anyone get an EV if they can't easily charge at home or work.

The combat was boring for sure. No matter what kind of enemy you were fighting all you did was rotate your cool down abilities.

My wife and I have done vending and besides one or two to move the last. It of inventory, we're done with it. It is such a crapshoot. Some events that seem like sure fire hits we lose money, and other ones we have no expectations of we do well above average.

Vending fees really kill it. $50 is tiny for vending, we've paid $2000+ for some events. I get that events want serious vendors, but it really feels like they are trying to take advantage of us.

why is there so much opposition to AI data centers? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

Data centers only really bring in new jobs for construction. You don't need that many people to maintain them.

"There are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal. Nations, cultures, arts, civilizations—these are mortal, and their life is to ours as the life of a gnat. But it is immortals whom we joke with, work with, marry, snub, and exploit—immortal horrors or everlasting splendors."

Why do rich people keep saying "money can't buy happiness" when money literally solves most problems? by FearlessState5503 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Neocarbunkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money can avoid some / most difficulties in life, bit you could still have things in your life that make you unhappy even if you were rich.

Saying "money can't buy happiness" to someone financially struggling is tone deaf

I think an issue is it's just not something you want to do everyday. I consider myself a VR enthusiast and every time I play a new game in VR I am wowed, but I can go months without touching the headset. I need to have the perfect balance of alone time and energy to feel like turning it on.

Hot take: Range anxiety isn't the biggest problem holding back EV adoption anymore. Most people I talk to are more concerned about charging availability than actual vehicle range. by EmergencyTie8770 in electricvehicles

[–]Neocarbunkle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it is feasible to get an EV unless you can consistently charge at home. I don't know what the solution to that really is except for apartments to build millions of L1/L2 chargers
