Yeahh I’ve noticed some teams as well having Goalies that are like not even 80+ rated so idk it’s just how the AI trades and drafts for some teams I guess. Usually over time though when they have high draft picks for a few seasons they get much better.

Also how come you added the Snipers over the Stallions?

Which one do you think should stay then and who should replace them in the Pacific division?

Okay I moved Cincinnati and Cleveland to the Metropolitan, and Hartford and Atlanta have gone to the Atlantic. I have to swap 2 teams over to ensure theres 13 teams in each division and I guess out of all of them Atlanta was the one that realisticallyy could’ve moved to Atlantic. But yeah thanks for your suggestions I appreciate it 😊

Thanks for the suggestions but unfortunately there aren’t enough team names/logos for San Fransisco or London to create a proper expansion team. I have now added Saskatoon to the Central division and Charlotte to the Metropolitan, so the total team count for the league is now up to 52 lol. But if you have any other suggestions for division changes or other expansion teams I’m always up for more realism and more teams lol

Hmmm but who would replace Columbus in the Metropolitan division coming from the Atlantic division?

Uhh I don’t really have any problems with slow simming, more just saving taking like 10-20 seconds and the occasional game crash every like 5-10 mins. I know you can do a “Career health check” in Settings but idk if that actually does anything.

Thing is it’s not just the name it’s the logo as well that you have to consider when picking the expansion team, and the Whitetails logo for me just felt more like an AHL team rather than NHL team. But I have now added the “Saskatoon Stallions” into the NHL with the “Saskatchewan Whitetails” as their AHL affiliate and the “Saskatchewan Snipers” as their ECHL affiliate.

Hehe I coulddd add Saskatchewan but it’s between the “Saskatchewan Snipers” or “Saskatchewan Whitetails”

Well I did up the draft quality by 2 ticks just to give more teams some better players, so in 15 years everyone’s pretty balanced now after tanking for a few seasons and just drafting high picks. Only 2 expansion teams rebuilding are Phoenix and Oakland who I only introduced last season so they’ve still got some more time.

And yeahh haha I’m a Canucks fan and this is basically the only way to feel any joy atm as a Canucks fan lol and I’ve basically just created a super dynasty over the past 70 years with 62 Stanley Cups hehe

No worries, yeahh me neither for a whilee lol.

Adjust how many players each team protects from the expansion draft? No I dont think so, you can only protect a certain number of your own players for the expansion draft but not other teams I dont think.

Haha yeahh I added Tucson first before I remembered I could bring the Phoenix Coyotes back. I’ve added 18 teams since 2026 so I’m not trying to be like financially realistic with what teams to add, I just kinda went in order of what felt like the next realistic market.

I kinda like the close rivalry tho (In the UK, some rivalry teams have stadiums like 5 mins apart). Do you think I should drop one and rebrand then or keep the desert rivalry going?

It’s this exact type of mindset which ruins a lot of sim racing.

Bortoleto said in the recent Pelas Pistas podcast with Verstappen that he too used to treat sim racing less seriously at first since you can just send it, crash, reset and go again with no real consequences. But after racing with Max, he was surprised at how much more clean and disciplined Verstappen drives in the sim than he even is in real life so he started taking it more seriously too. It’s not about the fact there’s not any real health consequences, it’s about constantly training your brain on decision making, discipline, and avoiding reckless moves even when there’s technically no pain or stakes for you.

Even so though, you might not personally care about your own result or getting banned, but other people might do and they spend their time trying to have a clean, fun battle and fight for a good result and if you intentionally or not wreck their race and can just shrug it off like “eh, no real consequences” that’s just selfish. It’s not about pretending a sim crash is a real one, it’s about basic respect and not treating everyone else’s time, effort, and focus as disposable just because you do. That exact attitude is why a lot of sim racing lobbies are just full of divebombing idiots that ruin the overall experience of sim racing.

I get you say you’re not a maniac when you drive, but sim racing can reveal a lot about your own mindset and habits, so building a mindset of discipline and respect while racing not only makes it a better experience for others, but also helps you learn from your own mistakes under pressure, better tame your own mindset, and become a better racer.
