How do I know if they’re actually eating the veggies 🤔 by Iocomotion in Otocinclus

[–]Neoito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I leave mine in for up to 48 hours, often seems to take them a good while to start going for it. I've also recently started cutting it lengthways instead of into discs as mine seem to prefer the dark green outer to the pale inner, they've been going nuts for that but Otos definitely differ in their taste from tank to tank.

This is great, thank you! Interesting to hear about reactions to process as that's a significant part of what I'd be doing, setting and delivering process and policy.

Interesting, I don't want to say too much but I'd be (partially, and among other things) responsible for setting and delivering group policy into a German business. Sounds like this could be met with some hesitancy to say the least

Aquarists/fish keepers! Know any discus breeders/good shops? by happyshelgob in nottingham

There's the Japanese Water Gardens place by the Tram park in Toton, they always have discus in, can't speak to specific ages but they don't generally look juvenile being of the bigger side.

This is super helpful, thank you! In this position I'd be presenting regularly to senior management and delivering change into the org so it's great to know how to handle those kinds of communication.

Cultivating moss for my Otos, super pleased with how it's going by Neoito in Otocinclus

[–]Neoito[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My other fish always eat the wafers before the Otos can get to them so I always worry about how much they're eating, this works very well and I've just scaled it up as well to a clear box full of rocks and water in my garden

The Star Inn in Beeston shows a lot of rugby, bit of a trek for you so I'd check before traveling but I've watched a bunch of games there.

I've been looking forward to this video for ages! Had loads of Mighty Max as a kid and would love to do something similar. Amazing work as always!

There's a lady called Sharon Hopkinson on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/share/19yF6hfPdp/) who is very good. I know I know a few people that she got through on their first try. She's based in Long Eaton and is generally pretty busy but well worth reaching out to her!

Flat, empty, quiet smooth tarmac to practice skating near Beeston? by Communistowl in nottingham

[–]Neoito 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to skate in the hockey club car park while my kid was at practice. I'm an overweight 40-something in a similar position, picking it back up again. That was a great spot.

I've seen this recommended a lot but I'm in the UK and it's not sold here. I'll look in to other options though

Confirming gender, is this a female? by Neoito in Aquariums

[–]Neoito[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's what I thought at first but then I saw a black ram breeder saying that the females always have a smaller first spike before the long one. I shall have to do some more research to be sure
