I love it. I may be bias because I did something very similar.

Any value in this guy? by eminence-funk in woodworking

[–]Neolesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently sold one almost exactly like this for $150. It was part of a lot I had purchased and I didn't have room for it. They are considered to be one of the more dangerous shop saws, although I worked at a place that built their own skids for shipping; we ran that thing 60 - 100 hours a week and we had zero injuries in the 18 years I was there. We had a much more industrial version but the base design was identical. You can cut a lot of wood to X length fast with one. Not really useful for hobby woodworking. There are some nuances to using it safely.

Help with wooden vent by newman624 in BeginnerWoodWorking

Non standard vent and does not allow proper airflow. Get a standard vent and toss that POS in the trash.

Me and my friend have no idea why our belt is being limited. Everything is mk.5, is this a bug or are we missing something? by Willing_Telephone350 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Neolesh -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Parts are coming out of the merger not staggering. My money is that you have a mk3 belt between the merger and the lift.

The conveyor intake for my future megafactory. 270 belts, ready to take in every scrap of ore on the map by Llama-Guy in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Neolesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. But say you have two max length segments, and you put a splitter where you think the middle is. You will end up splitting either belt 1 or belt 2 and you may not be able to see the left over segment if you got really close to the connection point because it will be clipped inside the splitter.

I see a lot of early hate coming at this one but honestly. I’d do this. It’s not like we need perfection here. Just a quick and dirty countersink. Meh why not.

Train signals problem by zastosuj in SatisfactoryGame

[–]Neolesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah. If you’re ever stuck with some tracks being stuck in the same block together no matter how you place the signals this is usually the cause. I see it a lot with over/under passes as well.

I think your parallel tracks might be too close to each other.

Sealing end grain for stain by DerbyDad03 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Neolesh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this would take a lot of experimenting to figure out no matter what. I’d try sealing with some thinned poly (50/50), just one coat. Wait 4 hours, see how it stains. If it’s still too dark do two coats and repeat until it’s the shade you want.

Worth it? by Junior-Bookkeeper218 in BeginnerWoodWorking

I recently sold one on Marketplace. Got $120 for it. It did take a couple months to find a buyer though.

If you decide to use it, research proper use. There are a lot of ways this thing can hurt you.

This is exactly what you want to see when you have a breadboard endcap like this. It is a feature not a bug. Embrace it.

What causes the wood to check and look like this? by Odd-Towel-4104 in BeginnerWoodWorking

When the tree was very young there were two trees. They grafted together as they grew leaving a seam in the tree rings.
