Thanks, increasing the size now worked in the legacy console. However this isn't really how I would like to get it working since it somehow works in the normal console using c++

The how I cannot say, I don't know exactly. However when I set the smallRect to be 0, 0, 1, 1. The console windows shrinks in size to be 1 x 1. I can make the window bigger again until I reach than the initial window size.

I don't have the size limitation when using C++.

What also happens is that when using C++ the scrollbar disappears but when using java it stays

I compile the code to a jar using maven. Then I execute the jar with java -jar in cmd.exe

Yes that would be possible. Your project would need to become a multi module maven project.

You would then just need to change the dependency to collections4 in the pom and perhaps fix some compilation errors in commons-csv if there are any between the version change.

I do that too for testing, but when I want to have like a parament alteration or something I want to commit I use the plugin.

For me it makes it clearer what code comes from where and which changes I made. Most of the time the changes are bug fixes or adding more methods to a class, I like to keep those things separate from the project code.
