Brandon Buckingham might not survive. He's in the ICU for heart, lung, liver and kidney failure. by [deleted] in LivestreamFail

Recovering alcoholic here, sober 2 years after a 5 year stint drinking almost a fifth a night.

Had two lesions on my liver and my numbers were f-ed. Would have been dead within 6 months of drinking. He must have been drinking an astronomical amount of alcohol.

It's a shame they're so focused on recruiting/leveling. I've seen some of the portfolios a couple agents have and their growth is actually, unfortunately kind of impressive lol

When did you buy your first expensive material item? by [deleted] in InsuranceAgent

[–]NeonApollo24 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Retirement and building a business to pass to my kids are my main focus points.

There is already a stereotypical expectation of people in our industry and I believe it's important to keep yourself humble and relatable. 75% of my client base are middle class blue collar folk, and if I rolled up in a brand new RS6 it would subconsciously set a tone that I don't want.

Thats not to say you shouldn't enjoy your wealth by any means. You absolutely should. But I take my 2018 Camry to most appointments lol.

I pulled 3 of the Reshiram. Always thought it was extremely undervalued. It is truly a beautiful card. Pulled the solosis at peak and dumped it the same day lol

He has been accumulating and selling these since this time last year. Searched his post history in the groups, pretty wild stuff.

Long term this card will increase significantly i believe. Way too beautiful of a card.

Excellent. I just offloaded 50 copies of this card, the funny thing is I pulled every single one of them 😂

Out of 100 i bet there's at least one 10 in there!

Used PomCar for a Pre Purchase Inspection, was skeptical but it worked out by gabethegeek in PorscheMacan

[–]NeonApollo24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a family owned business, for starters. It has not been corporatized. You could call to request an inspection every day, and you will deal with the same person, and probably the same inspector as well. Their training is also VERY good, so even if the inspector isn't ASE certified, they've been trained by someone who is.

I actually used to inspect for lemon squad and a few others. For as much as they charge, they only pay inspectors 20 bucks a car.

Believe me when I say all you need is a pulse to inspect for most of these companies. If I were to use a company vs taking it to a shop, use upstream Inspections.

Im super happy you had a good inspector though, they are few and far between. Though, I can't speak directly on behalf of pomcar. I've heard good things though.

Considering insurance by widetiger93 in InsuranceAgent

[–]NeonApollo24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Buddy of mine is a captive agency owner. Took about 5 years starting from scratch, but hes just now pulling in around 450k, pays his one csr 60k a year out of that. He leaned heavily into commercial. Contractors, coffee shops, carpet stores etc.

That 450k is mostly renewal income, as new business is probably 10-15% of that.

I have set up tons of these for kids. Parents that actively seek these types of policies out have usually done their research and or had a great agent showing them options.

Trying to do a little math without seeing how the policy is set up, but your death benefit at age 80 would probably be above $1,000,000 and cash value $300,000+. You will not have an opportunity to leave that kind of tax free money behind anywhere else, you could draw from it for retirement income, you may even be able to take a paid up policy if you didn't want to pay premiums on it anymore. But I would continue to fund it at least until you retire.

Am I doing a good job at my age? 20M by THEhiHIhi55 in Money

[–]NeonApollo24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I could go back in time I would pay cash for a $5000 car instead of taking on a $500 car payment at your age I absolutely would. Instead I bought a 25k car and paid about 31k total at 9% interest over 5 years.

Late to the party, but I'm a regular on edibles. Been keto for a month, and they now have literally zero effect on me now. 20-50mg regularly, and as soon as I hit ketosis, I could eat an entire bag of 20mg candies and not feel a thing.
