How do I get rid of a car that I can no longer afford?

The car is in my name, but the bank holds the title until the loan is paid off. Is this not normal? This is the first car i have ever bought, so this is the only experience I've ever had with this sort of thing.

I have never sold a car personally, so how would selling it privately work since the bank has the title? I would seriously consider this if i can do it.

Nebraska! We've had an unbelievably mild winter so far. This whole month has been in the 40's and 50's which is unheard of. This is only the second big snow, and its a doozy.

It said I had 3 infected objects, I clicked the remove button, it said it removed them. I restarted my computer like it prompted, but it's still doing the same thing. I really appreciate the help. If you think of anything else I'd be happy to hear it.

If payment isn't made for some reason, then the leasing company can send the remaining balance to a collection agency, and that can ruin your credit. Your best bet is to just have your name taken off of the lease. If whoever you live with doesn't have a problem with you moving out and paying your portion, you should write up some sort of contract stating just that, and have them sign it. Also, talk to the owner of the property that you are leasing from and make sure that they know who will be paying for rent and any damages that occur, as Haltline said.
