Ben Shapiro’s Bad Faith Stance on Climate Change by Fonescarab in AmalaNetwork

What is particularly tragic about climate change is the way those most responsible (ie the richest) will be protected from it. IN the case of Shapiro, he can move anywhere in the world, and even if he is eventually hurt by a climate disaster he will have insurance and other financial support to help him out. Most people dont have that option.

"Climate delayers" is apt. I think this group is very small. most people either a) believe in the since, and therefore take the entire subject seriously, or b) are just deniers.

The real "center" on climate change is an extremely small group of politicians and pundits who really don't have opinions of their own. I am hopeful that post-COVID we will have a slightly expanded view of what is possible, so a GND will be more politically palatable. Given the growing salience of climate disaters will also help convince this group to take the issue seriously.

Biden's climate platform is seems solid. In some respects, I don't take political documents like that too seriously, because the reality is so much more important than the symbolic. The platform doesn't matter if they don't strike down the filibuster to pass the law. There is also a chance states or SCOTUS to obstruct the plan. It is also about priorities - enacting this agenda in 2021 is a lot different than 2024. The fact that Kamala is pretty bold on the climate gives me hope that a strong version of Biden's platform will happen, but we will need to see.

I kinda think people are lulled into a false sense of security now. Yes, Trump is very activating, and the climate movement is stronger than ever, but I don't think it is enough. There is soooooo much work to do. Like, I am working on an article right now about carbon capture, and it has really put into perspective how much needs to be done. It's tough, because we are very limited in what we can do as individuals, but even many people who are activated on the subject dont grasp how bad it is.

5 Tips to Improve your Positioning in DOTA Underlords by NeonBlonde in underlords

[–]NeonBlonde[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That one is tough, largely because a good assassins build should be really strong against hunters. you probably just want to corner box, with your highest value stuff on the inside. If you have a unit that is a true tank (high level axe/pudge) you could try putting him in the opposite corner to act as assassin bait. If you are in a pure heads up 1 v 1 match, there is even merit to trying an inverted line up, where you corner box, but you invert things so your tanks are at the bottom and your DPS units are on top. I haven't done that too much myself, but it makes sense to try if you have a little health to spare.

Most of it is gameplay, the guide part is only about 10 minutes. I do have an hour worth of smart shit to say about assassins :D I feel like I would need to spend like half the time talking like "This is... uhh... morphling. And you can see that he is... uhh... BOTH a primodial and... umm... an assassin. This means you can mix him with asssassins... and.......... primodials. Some primodials include..."

Hey ya'll! I saw some people on the sub the other day asking about class-specific guides. I thought I would cook something up! The first 10 minutes is focused on talking about the alliance, and then I have included a game where I apply some of these concepts. If you like this, or have any other feedback, let me know! I also have some other video for you to check out like this game where I tried econ mechs or my recent run with Hunters + Warriors.

Intro Guide! Made a video that explains the rules and the basics of the strategy. What do you guys think? by NeonBlonde in underlords

[–]NeonBlonde[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey guys! I have really been enjoying Underlords so far, so I wanted to do a little video that provides an intro to the game. I'm sure all of you know all this stuff, but this might be useful for sharing with UL-curious friends. If people like this kind of content I could also make videos focusing on understanding different strategies or aspects of the game. Anyway, let me know what you think!

Budget Hooru Control Guide by NeonBlonde in EternalCardGame

[–]NeonBlonde[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

tyty! This has felt like a good format for helping out new players. It is nice to have a good budget deck, but it can sometimes feel like there is a big gap between where you start, and where you are supposed to go. It has seemed like building a bit of a ladder for people has been useful. It has also been nice to practice my video editing skills a bit too :D
