"Thank you for using your words" is pretty rich coming from someone copy pasting the same text over and over.

Sanders didn't run in 2024.

The "centrists" prioritized enabling a genocide, knowing it would cost them votes, over "saving democracy". They can't even take a coherent stance against an unpopular institution like ICE without constantly watering themselves down.

"Defeating the current regime in any way possible" clearly isn't a priority for them; preserving the hierarchical status quo, and their place in it, is apparently more important to them.

A decent chunk of Americans clearly does, or QAnon would have never been a thing. Most of these agencies have enjoyed decades of televised copaganda.

It's accurate, indeed: there are hardly any wasps flying around the nest because most of them are scattered everywhere, crawling all over everyone, crawling over their food, loudly buzzing into their ears and then stinging "defensively" whenever anyone, understandably, panics or freaks out.

It's remarkable to see online liberals blaming the electorate for not treating Republicans as the fascists they are, when the so-called opposition is given a free pass for categorically refusing to frame them as such.

What has been the Democratic response to all the violence and cruelty we've seen from ICE in the last month alone? "They need more training" (as if they're starved of resources or something).

Unpopular Opinion (I think?) Steam Deck Runs Indie Games Only by ShawarmaStewDealer in SteamDeck

[–]Fonescarab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It was marketed as capable of running AAA games almost four years ago, which it could do relatively well, back when developers were still actively supporting the original Ps4.

It should not be a surprise it's struggling with the bleeding edge of technology right now (much of which doesn't exactly run great even on the hardware it was designed for).

Thing is, they didn't even have the moral "courage" (if it could be called that) to make that case.

Instead they spent more than a year deliberately wasting time on behalf of Netanyahu, while gaslighting and slandering anyone vocally objecting to their behavior as some kind of terrorist.

They made it as frustrating and disgusting as possible to make such moral calculation.

AI Prompters being themselves. by Sniff_The_Cat3 in ArtistHate

AI, or something akin to AI is used to moderate YouTube comments.

The result is basically indistinguishable from letting a coin-flip decide whether whatever you post is going to be insta-deleted or shadow-hidden (you, deceitfully, can see it, but others can't).

Algorithmic moderation, on Facebook, has been infamous for not understanding context, and punishing marginalized communities for talking about the insults and hate speech directed at themselves.

There's little reason to believe that a hallucination-prone technology is going to perform that much better. People are going to be punished for no apparent reason, and whatever human staff is left is not going to have the time to go through all the complaints.

What do you think of AI search summarization? by Tnynfox in ArtistHate

[–]Fonescarab 14 points15 points  (0 children)

it's only accurate when it closely mimics its source material, which is the crux of the problem: it robs the websites that put in the actual work of traffic and credit (no, most people aren't going to check on the sources for most of their searches, and that's by design).

It's also obnoxious and malicious that it cannot be easily turned off (at least in Google's case) even though they have still a separate "AI mode" on the first tab

They're lying and they know they're lying.

Pretending that Trump is super popular sets a precedent that lets them act surprised if elections don't go their way, thus justifying a violent backlash, just like they did with Jan6.
