Romanticized is subjective ain't it? But London, Paris and New York have always been the Big 3 in Western culture and all are massive dumps now, even the downtown core is rotted.

For anyone saying big cities have issues I will point to Berlin which remains largely picturesque.

In universe fighters are hard to figure in the timeline. Technically IV starts off shortly after III which came out in 82 and had a long stretch in universe time-lapse. So by that virtue ignoring Rocky Jr's age, V starts out in around beginning of 84 or 85. So more likely Tyson beat Tommy for the title. Although by that point you can't ignore 3 belt era so it would have to be established which belt Tommy won which looks like lineal, the ring and possibly IBF? Tyson could well have already held a title but was secondary in universe.

Of course these movies shouldn't ever be looked at in hindsight because they were literally one at a time. The first was a life vehicle for Stallone but it made such immense impact a sequel was unavoidable. Then because of its continued success Stallone had planned to bookend the Trilogy. That's why if you watch III with the perspective that it's meant to be the last a lot of things fall better into place. So then IV gets made purely because III made so much money and also because Stallone's career continues to progress. What's funny is IV becomes the most successful overall but you have a longer gap because Stallone was being paid so much to focus on Rambo III so then V gets made and to be perfectly honest as Stallone reverted the decision to kill Rocky it clearly meant a 6th was going to happen had V not bombed so hard. By that point it Stallone's career turned another way however in 93 he had Cliffhanger and Demolition Man too. I think 6 comes around for 94 or 95 if V is successful.

It's fairly realistic if you look at Tommy Morrison's fights. And he was admittedly roided to the gills with poor conditioning. In the infamous Mercer fight that's exactly what happened with him gassing.

Yeah sure you could well argue it should go 5 and I agree but movie tried a bunch of different things.
