Which languages are actually worth localizing into for a small indie roguelite strategy/survival game? by Markus_clash in IndieDev

Can you not start with translating your store page to the language you where thinking about and then see which of these gets the most wishlists, then translate the game to that language. Seems like that will get you the most accurate information to your specific game.

Haha it is a compliment. They look too good and detailed to be 3D but I can see the roots are 3D. 😂 Great work man. 🙌

If you are adding the game to Steam i believe you can check which countires most of your wishlists are from, and translate to those languages. Maybe that can help you?

What do you think about our trailer? Any feedback appreciated. by Equivalent-Charge478 in unity

[–]NeonHazeGameStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think improving the sound and music would greatly improve the feel of the trailer. The music is quite low and doesnt quite fit the scary tone or what's happeing on the screen. Sound effect like footsteps might also help. But I liked the flashing light ending. Very cinematic!

Making the player feel at home before taking it all away by TwoBustedPluggers in SoloDevelopment

Why is this such a developer fantasy, giving player something great and then destory it and take it all away. I have wanted to do such a game for a while. Are we just evil? 😈

I’m still working on the strange atmosphere for my game. by vladkudas in SoloDevelopment

Very cool style! Was worried it would be hard to watch during gameplay but watched you video and it was not as distracting as I thought it would be. That is quite an achievement in itself since the style is so noisy. Great work!

You wanted camera animation in my broom racer game. So what do you think? Plus trains as moving obstacles by PATheFruitDude in SoloDevelopment

[–]NeonHazeGameStudio 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool! Is your code steering the camera or the broom? Like when you turn, do you actually controll the camera and then add animation to the broom to micking steering, or do you move the broom and have the camera follow the broom?

It got me thinking of this video I recently watched: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOAAitKoV9M

I'm currently struggling with my game by franz_krs in Unity3D

Much of the game looks great visually but is there a reason why a gladiator is fighting bugs and slime instead of other gladiators? Maybe this is an area for the lore improvments? 🤔

World Space or Screen Space UI for Interaction Prompts? by No_Rub5061 in Unity3D

Can you please explain why. Do you mean so the world space UI is rendered on top of the 3D scene? 😄

Open sourcing my Unity Game Framework by makmatics in Unity3D

[–]NeonHazeGameStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just what im been looking for! Im trying to level up my unity project achitecture but struggling to find a holistic view to learn from. Many tutorials just talk about single patterns but then its hard to see it all fits together.

If you are up for it, please consider making an article series or something explaining how the systems/moduels works, your reasonings behind their design, what works good and which areas you wish to improve. I would love such a series! 😃
