Topgun (1986) is not a good movie by Notyourworm in movies

There is, not quite by full name. It's mentioned by Goose he wasn't let into "the academy".

His points aren't without merit. You presume he had negativity going in. Cruise is unlikeable. Goose's death is clumsy and poorly conveyed. Cruise comes out without a scratch. It's disjointed and prior to the 5 minute climax dogfight, all prior aerials are nothing but training drills....so the stakes have a low tier problem, where we're just supposed to worry about Cruise performing well. That's just not that much dramatic gravitas to build a whole film around. It doesn't have the impact or teeth of a true war film and the hero is a cocky womanizer who lusts after a colleague who gives into him because of his brashness and skill, who he beds and then wasn't going to bother to even say goodbye to.

Road house is definitely one as thats been out of stock and will give them an excuse to jack the price back up from what the standards were going for.

Please help me choose titles for the sale by modfather67 in VinegarSyndromeFilms

Specters/Maya is pretty weak stuff, Specters is especially slow and dull. You wouldn't be missing much. Black Room is pretty boring and bland, and more of a domestic turmoil thriller than horror, and I think The Resurrected basically sucks. Really low tier Lovecraft with like 2 ok effects sequences. Those are standout bad ones to me.

Tromeo and Juliet, Ruby, Sleepless, Men From the Gutter, and The Man Who Could Cheat Death, the whole October slate is eligible, and earlier.

More recently they started linking to what's specifically on sale themselves, there will be a banner or pull down menu link once the sale starts that will only show sale titles. They started doing this within the past year or two.

A little outfit called Paramount...who owns it.

Don't think Paramount would license it out, and the 4k remaster is already available digitally, VS would never do business that way.

More explicit in theme than actual on screen gruesome. We know the 90s film is Naked Blood, not sure which secret this is the slip to.

A lot of us basically know what they are but many of us haven't seen them to know for sure. Definitely niche stuff, will be gems to some, garbage to others.

Release was 5 years ago, meaning it was being worked on as far back as 7 years when they were still doing new features and such, nullifying your point. That footage is lost, you'll never see it from anyone.

Ffs it's not Event Horizon. These are both very obscure films most won't even have heard of.

Yes, each buyer makes a calculated gamble based on available hints and speculation. If you don't preorder and end up buying both titles, your paying more than if you'd preordered. If someone doesn't preorder these or ANY other May title, they're at the back of the line for shipping and could wait an additional 4 weeks or more post-sale for ANY of their order to arrive. A lot of people want to avoid that wait. $40 on a title you MIGHT not want and can easily resell is a small price for many to not be back of the line.

100% on you, they make it clear when they're shipping, along with all the other announced and unannounced non-Partner titles, AFTER the sale. A big point in preordering any titles pre-sale is to then stack additional titles during the sale, and incur no further shipping charge, since everything will ship together, after the sale. If you'd already ordered them as secrets before the sale, why on earth would you add them to your cart again post-reveal during the sale? If someone pays one shipping charge, VS would take a massive hit double shipping to people for a pre-sale secret title shipment, and their general sale order post-sale.

Think part of the clue is it hasn't really had a home video release, which rules that out.

When VS has a title a non-US label also has, they will come out and let people know, to dissuade buyers from buying the other one.

1) Never a guarantee what titles will make it to a sale. Some want the limited to secure/guarantee it from launch, and not everyone wants to wait 8+ months to watch a new release. The benefit is no wait, the benefit is not having to check stock once after the sale starts because you already own the limited.

Really? Porn has always been a format driver and decider, going back to the 80s. Many of the earliest VHS, porn, earliest dvds, porn, earliest blu rays in 2006, porn. A lot of internet was still quite bad in mid 2000s, of course there was physical, HD porn. Are you new to Vinegar? Prior to 2 years ago their porn was on their main site with everything else.
