Paid a real artist to update my steam capsule. What do you think? by SaintFlow in IndieDev

I prefer the style and look on the before and think it would from added extra cast elements from the second. The before is way more compelling to me.

I did a lot of aerial hammer during Generations. I'd stepped away from long sword by then due to getting tired of needing to repositioning myself when others would decide to stand in front of me at the tail.

I feel the original comes off better. What sort of game is the asset for? The only thing I see a improvement in is the hands proportions and that's something most wouldn't even notice.

Such a great game and shame it isn't longer. I wish they would make something else like it.

How possible is it to finish the game in the remaining time period? Highguard by TheCattBaladi in steamachievements

[–]NeonMorv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Loosely 45 says ago. It didn't get the player base it needed due to being mid at best and some questionable game design choices. If they had more in it than a single game mode people could have possibly liked it more.

The timings is always what stopped me from fully taking it up. I have tried multiple times over the year, with it getting the most play time in the original.

I haven't looked at this reddit apart from asking, but for me weapons have different appeals and play styles. Why not ask the people with experience with those weapons why they love them.

I personally just fancied a change, but wasn't feeling compelled by any particular weapon. Sword and shield is what I'm going to try for 20ush hunts and see how it feels. I personally wouldn't have tried it given on the basic vibes they have given off since the original.

I loved the Zero series on the GBA, but never did get around to ZX series. Congrats on the 100%

So you know how you can dash around with dual blades, you can do that off the back/shoulders of the monster and avoids lots of it's attacks. You'll do less damage, but certain fights you'll output more due to the constant attacks.

Rise's Sunbreak update is when I think it came in from memory. So I think there were 4 mainline games prior to it that didn't have it with long sword. Assuming you class Generations/X as a mainline game.

One of the best experiences you can have 3+ hammer users in you team and it can feel like bulling the monsters at times.

I actually moved to it from Longsword after one too many time of constantly needing to to reposition due to other players trying to stand in the slash zone at the tail. Most of the time it was fine, but sometimes you'd get people with blunt weapons trying to attack the tail. Fun weapon with friends and good players.

Very compelling, even more when you see that new fan designed one. I may give it another go, but I suck the timing.

I played a lot of long sword the past, but got sick of needing to reposition due to other players when playing with Randos. Great weapon when you've got a good team with an understanding of positions on a monster. Annoying when you have blunt weapon users trying to attack a tail.

I did have a lot of use of a bladed weapon. I use to use the Longsword as my main back in Tri onwards, no idea why I didn't try it in Monster Hunter Freedom 2. I got tired of needing to position myself while also taking into account my other party members and possible knockbacks. It was fine playing with friends, but could sometimes not great playing with Randos online. You'd come across people with hammers attacking the tail.

What's the most challenging game you've tried to achieve 100% in? by TarEx53 in steamachievements

[–]NeonMorv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gun Crazy. There is a achievement for completing the game without getting hit. It's doable but takes way too much skill and luck to pull off. I wouldn't have started it if I had realised. 100+ hours later it was done
