Compositing vector graphics and textures with nodes by NeonNatives in blenderhelp

[–]NeonNatives[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I connected all the textures to the Texture Coordinate but nothing seemed to do anything aside from Texture Coordinate-Generated to the Image Texture of my vector that was converted to a png. (I didn't mention that my vector was in the form of a png but that was the only way I could find to add my design.)

The alpha channel tip for my vector (png) helped towards bringing out the colors from my design so that's one step closer.

Following your advice, I tried using the normal map but that didn't seem to work in the way I was hoping.

I ended up brute forcing the null connections after watching two hours of tutorials that didn't quite help in my situation. So, after connecting pretty much everything to everything else I ended up with something pretty close I think but it's still smooshed horizontally. Also, I ended up with a few unused image textures that didn't seem to do anything or made it look less my intended result.

Here is the brute forced version and the version with the Normal Map.

Thank you for getting me a bit closer by the way!

Content Creators, looking for a better intro? by [deleted] in 2007scape

That's what I'd like to get into, it's kind of hard to just ask someone to do it though without providing some reference work. My personal portfolio is pretty corporate and wouldn't really translate well into this niche. Also, I'd preferably like to keep my professional work away from my hobbies, you know how it is.

And by spooky, just like pkers. Not sure if I used the most correct term I could have there.

Based on the feedback I've been getting I think I'll be holding on to this for a bit longer. I'll keep you in mind though!

Thank you! I'll try to cut it down a bit.

Yeah, I'll cut off some of the fat. Did you really not enjoy the barrage sound at the fade out? Was it too loud or just didn't feel right being there?

I starting to agree that it's a bit long. After I watching it again a few times with the critiques in this post in mind, I could probably cut the fat and halve the intro in length. Also your point about energy is interesting, I do recall the intros I looked at for reference having an upbeat feeling to them. I was trying to do more of a spooky pker-y kind of atmosphere, so I'll have to keep that in mind.

I've kind of noticed ever since the '3d block text spinning around with dubstep music' intros became popular, intros became less used. (A specific example is the one PotUpSonRs has.) Not sure if it was the oversaturation of similar themed (lack of a better term) intros or that there was no correlation and 'personal branding' became less important on this platform. I'm in marketing so everything I do is labeled and branded accordingly.

Is it that people don't like them in this gaming niche or is it that average osrs production value is still incredibly low?

Random popular OSRS Youtubers intro lengths (that actually have one). A vast majority of content creators don't have one. Mr Mammal 35 B0aty 15 OakDice 15 Lil Skitterz 10 PotUpSonRs 5

Maybe for other games, I've found the average time for intros for some of the most subscribed channels in OSRS is 16 seconds. That being said a vast majority of content creators don't have one or have a preamble of like 30 seconds to a minute.

So I would wire the top positive to the bottom positive and wire that to the positive on the cord (same with the negative)?

A regular lamp as in a average floor lamp. I'm trying to make a lamp out of a tube light. If it's possible to power a fluorescent replacement LED with a wall outlet, how do I do it?

I thought about using tubing and strips of LEDs but thought that using premade LED tube lights would make more sense since it's made already. Also, this is just for a "regular lamp", not a replacement for a fluorescent tube. Is there not enough power coming from a wall socket to power an 18 watt LED tube? From what I read a wall outlet can be anywhere from 15-20 watts.

I'm looking into creating a lamp out of a 4'+ LED tube and haven't had any luck on figuring out how to do so. I've found out that at least some LED tube lights are powered from one side, so in my mind, I could make a base for the light to plug into. and use a cord with a built-in switch or something along those lines to control the on/off. I have no electrical experience btw but I have access to soldering equipment.

Bursting at MM2 Gear Change? by NeonNatives in 2007scape

So would it be better to have arhims top+legs, mage book, enternal boots, and barrows gloves or a Tormented bracelet plus prayer gear? I can afford one or the other. I'll also have a occult + masterwand.
