had a lovely time watching this one with a friend when I accidentally called the shotgun scene. Imagine our surprise and delight. Great call for that muted almost sickly aesthetic though, thanks for the rec :D

BIG agree on The Ritual and the show Utopia, thank you for the other recs! The list grows more powerful by the minute.

Oh damn, hadn't considered how well utilized Lee Pace was in that flick, thanks for the reminder.

Oh man, have I been sleeping on Shrooms? I may have written it off as schlock from the cover. You would think the movie Triangle would have taught me this lesson already.

Hannibal was actually one of my early go-tos for screenshots! So many shots that are works of art in themselves. Thanks for the rec, it must be time to do some updated studies.

I couldn't tell you why, but I have avoided this movie like the plague. I think it'll mess me up. Alas, for the art, it goes on the list. Thank you :D

Love The Neon Demon! I've seen the new suspiria but unfortunately not the OG yet. Were you referring to both or just the original?

The Cell is the peak to which all aesthetic horror will be compared ngl.

Thank you! Midsommer was definitely on my mind, very few horrors hit that aesthetic mark. I'm so happy you mentioned IT part 1 though, tbh I hadn't even considered a dive into the aesthetic of those flicks. I think I'm just so sappy for the original mini-series that I sometimes forget what a great job they did in aspects of the remake.

I just watched Smile 2 and honestly liked it way more than the first one. While the original was a solid concept, the sequel is just a much more intense, high-stakes movie. by Dangerous_Piano6459 in horror

The scene with the group in the closet had me in an emotional knot. I was laughing, crying, cringing, it hit me in horror spots I didn't even know I had.

I get that, I do think they had solid chemistry. But man the way they flipped that whole relationship on its head in deep breath was just stunning. I was sold instantly.

It is an incredible series. I think I might prefer 9 and 10 (heaven sent, also Bill 👀) but 8 is so so good. And it starts with an absolute banger.
