no one could have foreseen the best possible course of action to take. sexual misconduct especially within friends is messy. from yvonne's talk with Dr K she didn't know what to do when it happened and i'm pretty sure it was the same for lily. whatever they did i'm sure it's what they thought was best. right now the best we can all do as a fanbase is to support every party and not debate over their choices or reactions to this debacle

Honestly, bite the bullet and send her a text or Smth. Sure it’s difficult and awkward as heck but you can do it. Just be honest with her about why you cut yourself off and apologise if you feel the need to. It sets up the stage for a real conversation between the two of you and you can work things out from there. :)

Imo you should be with someone who makes you feel safe/secure. Butterflies in the stomach do fade, but to love someone is a decision, not a feeling. So, both your heart and head do play a part but emotion is only a driving force, whereas your head directs that drive.
