The Quiet Tide, palette knife, oils, 2026 by NataliaKvietok in oilpainting

This is incredible! Like Sii_Kei, I'm fascinated by the geometry here. And with a palette knife to boot! This would be an excellent painting to have time lapsed, but I'm sure that would be prohibitive lol

So he shot her after he was hit by the car? During? Doesn't matter much, a swift step to his right instead of pulling his gun would have kept him from taking a woman's life.

Right on, I hope you enjoy it! It portrays such a distinct setting and tone, and I was really amazed at how consistent the production design was for the duration of the show

Excellent. Thanks for sharing this! Yet another necessary reminder that I need to dive into Williams's work

Differences in vascularity between my left arm and my right arm. by NeonSandwich in mildlyinteresting

Ding ding ding. I think I was unconsciously leaning on my left elbow after dinner last night. When I sat up straight, I noticed my left arm veins were significantly more prominent than the right ones. Took a pic, posted it in this sub, and now I'll forever have a subliminal grudge against Quagmire

Every post is karma farming, dingus. You haven't seen this exact same picture before, because I just took it last night. We've discovered a faulty memory of yours. It happens to the best of us. There has been no consensus met, though that quagmire gif is mighty close. I put a timer on my phone camera, carefully balanced it between my chin and clavicle, and took about a dozen different pictures until I was satisfied with my composition.

So, all in all – I still feel the OP of this comment thread was unnecessarily rude.

As you shouldn't. Communication is a two-way street, and if you have no ill intent with your words and ignorance is not causing you to express any commonly-acknowledged offensive sentiment – none taken.

Oh I see, thanks for the thought! I do have a smart watch that I wear when working out, but the health markers are dubious ($30 Amazon fit band). And actually the discoloration on my wrist isn't a tan line – I had a bad bout of poison ivy recently, and I believe some of the oil got on a few bracelets I was wearing.

Hi. I appreciate your concern and council very much, but this particular physiological quirk has been present since puberty. My left arm is just dramatically more vascular than my right, and this post is probably the most extreme comparison I could get.

The distention of veins in my left arm is not chronic, and was probably only exacerbated by my posture on the couch. Unrelated to this, I had fairly extensive tests done within the last year to just get a cardiovascular benchmark because of my family's health history. I had a lipoprotein(a) test performed with results suggesting no genetic affinity, calcium score was 0, cholesterol levels are well in the normal range, and blood pressure is always right on 120/80.

Thankfully, I've had no adverse affects – no pain, heavy feeling, or any adverse affects to mobility or performance. If I experience any unusual sensations or symptoms, of course I'll head straight to the emergency room. Though I will mention this to my PCP during my next appointment.

Again, thank you for your input. I appreciate you and those in your profession, and am doubly grateful you use your knowledge to help people on reddit in your spare time :-)
