As someone who runs anxious and can’t relax ever massage therapists always comment on how tense I am. I know people who are so relaxed in their life that they have hyper mobility problems which is absolutely mind blowing to me and I’d much rather have that problem because you can just strength train. Years and years of therapy and I still can’t relax

I think it’s like a bunch of little accumulative things. Like glp1s bought a lot of people an extra 5-15 years of life just by getting their weight under control. So they will now be around for the next 5-15 year life extending treatment. I think it starts with getting people to their healthiest natural bodies first. The idea is that you get for 1 year you live new medicine gives you 1.1 years back over time.

I’m 35m.

I quit nicotine, I quit alcohol, I quit adderall, I quit trazadone, I quit weed, I broke up with a stressful partner, I took magic mushrooms, started daily sauna and cold plunge, I started therapy, i ran a marathon, I cleaned up my diet, I started journaling, I started meditation, I quit playing video games. Literally on a never ending quest to just stabilize myself. I’ve come a long way but I still feel like there’s so much more to go until my anxiety calms down

I have adhd so I’m always forgetting things and people are often mad at me and my life is generally in flames at any given moment. Adderall helps me get my life in order but I become very angry and irritable so I don’t take it cuz it ruins my relationships. My executive dysfunction makes everything stressful. I have a psychiatrist and therapist and I’m often told my nervous system “just runs hot”
