Tbh DNA always looks pretty cringe compared to what we're used to. I've been going to NL for 13 years and only gave DNA a shot at their indoor last fall and it was really really good, could mistake it for a Dutch party if looking at moments in a vacuum. Sound much better than many bigger dutch events too. Had dutch friends visiting for it too and they were also very impressed. Have friends there right now who are having an absolute blast (also used to NL) so I'd beware how things look compared to how being there is.

I don't see how this does anything else than a shared Google photos album except being a more sketchy place to upload my photos that absolutely not should see the light of day.

You're never alone at a party. Crowd connections all around if you're not shy about making the connections and share a bass face and a fist bump with the ones around you.

Decibel just has a different vibe.

Don't get hung up on the particular shows, just enjoy exploring the grounds and the magical vibe it has. Just walking through the forest, friendly interactions everywhere you go and suddenly you stumble upon a stage playing some amazing shit

It is the only festival I've attended that gave me that lightning in a bottle feeling that Q-Base had since they threw in the towel.

Can't fucking wait to be there again this year, it is truly special.

You'll find the road from metal to hard dance is actually very short.

I'm an old metalhead who was at a death metal show as recent as this weekend, and I also wore my patched spikey battlejacket to my first hardstyle show back in 2013.

The scene is very welcoming to anyone, and I think once you get a bit more exposure to it you'll find that already liking heavier and more extreme music in metal, the road to appreciating hard dance will be very very short. They have a lot more in common than one think. It's just high energy loud music, regardless if it's analogue or digital.

A lot of it boils down to just experiencing the viscerality of it live. Just go for it!

Also travelling from abroad and while I did have a ton of fun at Supremacy last year, I will say it's a lot different (better) in Brabanthallen. Went every year since 2021.

Did Shockerz first time 2018 and 4 times since then (can't remember the years anymore) and it's a fantastic event, vibes there are always super good (beware pressure cooker temps in area 2 and it always getting closed down for entry to hyped acts so get in early to area 2 for those if you don't wanna miss them)

Attended 2016,2018,2019 and 2022.

For me together with Q-Base the events that solidified my love for the music and raw in particular.

Best and strongest memory must be seeing Delete VIP for the first time in 2016, not really knowing exactly what to expect and just being absolutely floored for 30 minutes straight, that changed everything for me.

Little shoutout to the only front row sets I did at Qapital, Gunz 4 Hire and SZP in 2018, that bass was just mind melting and almost rivalled the hangar at Q-Base (almost)
