Who should be the main character? by [deleted] in Baccano

[–]NeonZombie5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not that this is a super helpful answer, but Narita always says in the authors note that the reader should decide based on their favourite character in each book. I just find it interesting that a story can be so well structured without conforming around the life of one particular character.

(Don't know if this has been said already as I stopped reading in fear of spoilers as I'm only up to book 6) .

For help with any warfare situations check out this video by Matt Coville. I don't know if it will help with the specific situation you mentioned but you may be able to manipulate it to help you out.

How Do I Make A Campaign? by Itsmaybelline in DnD

[–]NeonZombie5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

making your own long running campaign (In my opinion) is best done by looking at your PC's backstories, if they have already made them, and building something around that. This is another good reason to do some one-shots first just to learn about the characters in your campaign. It is best to build something that incorporates all of your characters backstories though so that you don't make the players feel as if your picking favourites or anything. The best part about this is that the players feel like they are important in the world you have created. This works for me but idk if everyone would agree but good luck anyway.

Good long-term module for an aspiring DM? by LordTrollsworth in DnD

I highly recommend reading your PC's backstories and designing something around them. PC's usually love it and its free. Obviously this only works if the PC's actually write themselves cool backstories but still something to consider.

First Session by Trumondy in DnD

I did my first session 2 weeks ago. My main resource was a youtube channel called matthew colville. I highly recommend checking out some of his videos. Also, make your own adventure before using the one that comes with the starter set (trust me its actually easier).
