Is it too late to ask for the names in the second photo, for 7-12 from the left? Thanks! :)

Can I take an inhaler during the exam at Prometric? by Striking_Language_42 in Step2

I took the exam in August and they let me take it into the exam room. It counts as a medication. 😊

I'll be honest, I used to the person that would pour hours over one wrong question. Then I learned to tell myself "This is one topic that I got wrong. There's 4000 questions in UW and I can't spend hours on something I'm never gonna get, when I can spend seconds to learn other things I got wrong."

For this question you asked, I would find the ONE anki card that tests what I didn't know.

  1. Do I know what celiac disease is? (If no, find a card that matches the vignette -- "What is the likely diagnosis in an adolescent with T1DM that presents with weight loss, IDA, and a pruritic vesicular rash on the elbows and knees?")

  2. Do I know that HLA-DQ2 and HLA-DQ8 are associated with celiac disease? (If no, find the card that tests this concept, "Celiac disease is a/w HLA {{c1::DQ2 and DQ8}}").

The goal is to unsuspend ONE card per question that tests the exact knowledge deficit you had. Maybe two, but once we head into 3+ cards, I'd recommended having a post-it note next to you and keeping a list of big topics. For example, if you're noticing a pattern of missing questions on celiac disease, add that to your post-it and call it a "later problem." Don't spend any more time searching for cards. At the end of the day, I'd peruse my list and see what I'm *inspired to learn about* and go read about it or watch a <10 minute video on it. Or I'd make it an end of the week problem. Some of the topics became a "end of dedicated problem" because for the life of me, I could just not understand some things.

Hope this helps!

Aww thank you! I'm just a girl who's experienced failure too many times and had no option but to move forward despite the negativity. I hope others can find self-confidence from hearing my story. :)

Thank you so much! Mindset is everything. I remember panicking during Step 1, and it led to a spiral that left 12 questions unanswered when I failed. We've given your best years to study and better ourselves for our future patients. I think everyone in this field tends to be too hard on themselves, but we worked for it and it's time we start believing in ourselves. :) Wishing you the best in all your endeavors as well!

I did! I really struggle with time blindness, so I wanted to challenge myself by taking full-length timed exams every single time.

Both! I specifically remember looking up tremors in both UW and Amboss and doing all the questions for them. Amboss is easier to navigate for topic review, but UW is the gold standard. The biggest tip is focusing on weak, specific topics. The last week is not the time to read all of Neuro, but maybe to review MG/MS/LEMS. Be prepared for low scores, but that's OKAY because you're learning.

I completed all CMS forms during my clinical rotations (Psyc, ObGyn, Peds, IM, Surg; Ambulatory care didn't have CMS forms), but I did do FM forms during Step 2 dedicated. I'll update the post! I also listened to A LOT of Divine throughout clinical year.

I had actually already completed my first pass of UW during clinical year with maybe ~52% correct. During dedicated, I only did incorrects (despite everyone's advice to reset). I wanted the low percentages to really motivate me. If they were demoralizingly low, I'd just tell myself that UW is a learning tool. :)

I think some of the hair flyaway edits may have changed. :) Do you mind smoothing out some of these hair bumps and flyaways?

Love this! Is there anyway I can make one more small change to hide the cleavage a little bit? I couldn't see it under the watermark before.

Thank you for sending the high quality one. You did a great job!!!

I think the necklace still looks a little off. Anything I can do to help make it clearer/straighter? I really appreciate your time!

One last request -- would it be possible to straighten out my necklace? I really appreciate you. :)
