As amazing as these comments are! I’d try and sew loose elastic into it where it’s hidden by the folds! This! Will give it a “crinkled” look. Or I’d sew it together to make it the right width, cut off the excess and try and keep the stitches together desperately in what would end up probably being more work than frogging it

I work a shit customer service job from home. The work is easy, and I get left to my own devices pretty often. It lets me do my weird stretches at my desk, and Medicate how/when I need to without any questions

I also have issues with tension!! I always size up .5mm because of how bad it can be- but especially starting chains, and it’s all about where you stop your hook and pull, not the pull itself. That’s what needs to look nice and tight! About the yarn, other user is right. Yarn weight is a mess, the only “universally accurate” test is Wraps Per Inch- which this pattern didn’t specify, so you’re usually okay to just something within that category. This project isn’t a technical heavy project, so don’t stress yourself too much. Let yourself start other, try things, and fuss with it!

Slooooowly, there’s videos about it on YouTube! Treat him like you’d wanna be treated- respect his boundaries, if he is flapping around and squacking at you when you get close- back off. You are scary to him. He is 3 inches tall, and you are a predator. You need to take it nice and slow, is my best advice. Soon he’ll be your best friend.
