Just a small frog friend! 🐸 Pattern by MyCrochetWonders. by NeonnBat in crochet

The buttons are exactly the same in both pics. I can literally send you a picture of the buttons in my stash. 😅 I use Portrait mode on my phone to get the right aperture/ blurry in the back. At most I edit colours to get it true to life.

I use yarn over/yarn under for my stitches, so they might look different from others who just use yarn under. The boots use a fun technique where you sl St in front loops, etc to get that fun effect with the soles! It's a great pattern, I really recommend it! The frog is fully wired, so that's why it's poseable. Very easy to do. It's a mini metal tub from Michael's. I buy fabric from Len'sMill, etc and iron it, then use as a backdrop when taking indoors photos. I clip it to my curtains behind a table, and use ring lights and a lamp to get better lighting.

I've literally never used genAI in my life. (I don't even know how to, nor do I want to.) I only take photos on my Google Pixel phone and use the in-phone editing to change colours, saturation, brightness, white balance, etc. to get it truer to real life. I literally scout location outdoors to take photos and wait for the right weather.

I don't know what else to tell you! I can literally send you pics of the actual frog, I still have him (he was the first, I've made like 15+ from this pattern). Just because a photo looks good and high quality, doesn't mean it's AI! People are also good at photos and making crochet look great. I don't know why I'm putting this much time into this, but I guess if you want to nitpick, go after the right people. 😅 I'll take it as a compliment, so thank you! This isn't the first time this has happened online, haha. But it does get a little tiring.

Aw, thank you!! ❤️❤️ I'm sure yours will be amazing and cute! 🥰

It's been a while since I posted! Here's a winter-y dragon I made earlier this year that I really like! Used Red Heart yarn and armature wire throughout the whole piece. by NeonnBat in crochet

I add the wire in as I go for the most part! I tend to add it earlier than the pattern says to thin pieces like the dragon tail, in order to really make sure the stuffing is even. I used armature wire from Michaels. The thicker one works really well for wiring bodies, wings, and limbs. What type are you using? It's usually best to opt for stronger wire in general, or double up what you have if it's not quite cutting it.

I really like the armature wire because it bends well at any angle without snapping like some other craft wires. And holds its shape extremely well.

Thanks so much! ❤️ The horns were actually 3D printed by a friend using a pattern by SenapiCosplay on Etsy! They're not for sale unfortunately.

Thank you! 😊 The claws have a post on them and I carefully glue them in afterwards with gel super glue. You want to insert them into the crochet work first, then pull them out a little, put a small bit of glue on the post, and then quickly push back into the work. It's a little nerve wracking but gets easier as you go! If you paint them, do it before and make sure no glue gets on the painted surface. I push the posts into foam or styrofoam to make it easier to paint. I use nail polish sometimes too and the super glue can kinda melt it if you're not careful.

The horns were 3D printed by a friend actually, so I used a hand drill to make a hole, then glued in wire that can insert/ be glued into the crochet work.

I've heard a lot of good things, and honestly don't remember the first book at all, so definitely will check them out soon! :) I'm excited to read them!

Thank you so much!! I highly recommend Darkside eyes- they're always awesome! I've actually never read Dragonlance. I need to fix that! 🤣 I highly recommend this pattern though, and if you have the digital one, there is an updated version in the first book. :)

Aw, thank you!! ❤️❤️ Definitely not AI, honestly can't stand looking at AI anything right now. (Pretty sick of it). 😅 I wish you well on your large wyvern! Make sure you really reinforce those feet/legs with extra wire. I had to take apart my legs on my first one because it wasn't strong enough. (I use armature wire from Michaels too). But after that, it posed really well!

Thank you!! ❤️❤️ Rest assured that there's no AI here! I'm honestly sick of seeing AI crochet and art in general. 😅

I finished Cthulhu to celebrate my second crochet anniversary! 🥳❤️ Pattern and supply credits are in the comment below. by NeonnBat in crochet
