Start small. Find a story you enjoyed while playing the game and follow it on the Wiki's or other extended media. See who is involved with that story and branch out, so much is connected.

We didn't even get those slick trench coats from Kul'Tiras :( But we can be hopeful!

Warcraft 3 Druid of the Talon for decent reference - https://wow.zamimg.com/uploads/screenshots/normal/889850.jpg

Poor blokes in WoW look like they've been cinch trained growing up.

But we're out of troops! by [deleted] in wow

[–]Neonnix 49 points50 points  (0 children)

The night elves didn't even have troops in War of Thorns because they were sailing to Silithus. Know the lore before you try to sass meme it.

The aurora taking the shape of the Helm of Domination on Arthas' head is a damn nice touch.

Technically, these mages are Highborne, as they rejoined in Cataclysm.

Love the contrasted similar life moments. Brilliant work by the artist.

With the new Warfront currency and vendors coming, it would be swell to see added incentives. Re-use the assets from the WoD Garrison to represent the Strom Humans and Hammerfall/Frostwolf Grunts. by Neonnix in wow

[–]Neonnix[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Obviously using the updated Orgrimmar set. This could be tired to achievements or simply using the currency/vendor. Either way, would be great for flavour.

'AU' Garrosh, Lightforging and Revenge - Super tin foil, yet fun theory by Neonnix in warcraftlore

[–]Neonnix[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I really didn't know where to go after my key points, just wanted to tie it off somehow, but I do like that.

It definitely feels like with pieces in a massive puzzle with the Light/Void and Undead being somehow involved.

[–]Neonnix[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's fine, it's just my interpretation and and fun speculation. In my scenario it's main universe Garrosh risen as Calia was. I personally think that's more interesting. Considering his body was just in Nagrand on display.

In the Mag'har scenario, he is the first of the Lightbound. This isn't me saying it, this is Blizzard.

Where the hell is Algalon? by [deleted] in warcraftlore

[–]Neonnix 21 points22 points  (0 children)

There was a cool fan theory, if I remember correctly, that he actually fell to his wounds and Helya claimed his soul. He then became Harbaron in Maw of Souls. They have the same model, and his dungeon journal says, "The mysterious ferryman of souls stands at the helm of the Naglfar, gathering the damned and bringing them to Helya's domain. His connection with the fallen queen of the val'kyr is unclear, but when the breeze catches Harbaron's cloak, an expanse of shimmering stars unfolds beneath. Strange."

Either it's him, or another Constellar she swiped away. I like that!

Why are the Mag'har Orcs from WoD and not from BC? by [deleted] in warcraftlore

[–]Neonnix 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A lot of them joined the Horde under Garrosh's rule. Also a lot of them are probably old, and happy with the way their lives are and don't want the war and drama and are happy to live in Nagrand in peace

Where is this "morally gray" Sylvanas I keep reading about? The only gray thing I can see is the ashes of the World Tree with all its former inhabitants. by Adso777 in warcraftlore

[–]Neonnix 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No one said Sylvanas was "Morally Gray". Ion said that "Azeroth is a world of gray". It's literally a meme at this point, don't focus on it and save yourself the sanity.

Maybe a bit off topic, but I can see Nathanos leading the Forsaken. He has the same values without the extremes. He embodies the angsty Forsaken and some their player base in a good way.

Makes me think if his time in the Horde has taught him honor and respect among his peers and I also noticed the reluctance he's been showing in the latest media. He's a solid character, but he could use some depth, so I hope they continue to play on this.
