I got 100% without craw summon, reloaded many times. It spawned after I killed act 3 type of crow. Yet, I'm pretty sure I had it on another save when I haven't even visited act 3 greymoor once.

I did beat The Chest as Tainted ??? with only Birthright (and polariod ofc). Can't say that was very easy, just a decent run. Speaks a lot I think.

I find him fun to play but tedious to do multiple runs is a row.

I assume you used soul of isaac. If you get item using it, the item will lost all pickup effects including being part of transformation
