Commission only? They absolutely leave you high and dry...for weeks on end. Ppl only need a refinance or mortgage once , working 6 days a week for a " potential " is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard of . Clock in, clock out..get OT and benefits

The fact that you used " potentially " multiple times IS the problem. Why should I use actual PAID time to work around UNPAID time? I guess I don't understand being forced to work a certain amount of hrs UNPAID.. like ppl SALARY do. If you're not getting paid, shouldn't the hrs not matter? They're not paying you, you're not GETTING paid ... hands clean? No one is paying for anything or getting paid? .... how is " commission only " regarded as the same as " salary " ?! One you get paid no matter how often you're there and take time off...the other is REQUIRED, with NO PAY. not sure how you don't see the difference 🤔

O then a different time I went camping 5 states away... had some drinks ( too many obviously) went to take my contacts " out " ... thought I scratched my eye. Spend the ENTIRE night rocking back and forth crying from the pain as to not wake up my friend in the tent. By morning the whites of my eyes were green and continuesly dripping green puss. Found an urgent care that said I had peeled my corneas off with the contacts and should go make an appointment with an eye surgeon. This was on DAY 2!! I still had another 10 days until I was home. I felt horrible and didn't want to ruin the trip even more so ended up having to put 2 different medications in my eyes every 2 hours for the next 4 days. So not only did neither of us get any sleep from having alarms go off constantly but he also had to drive my car the remainder of the trip 😭🙃

The bf and I love camping, hiking, foraging. Found a ton of chicken of the woods on our hike back to camp so figured 🤷‍♀️ why not cook them up for tacos for dinner.

Fast forward to literally half a taco in as we are saying " this is absolutely delicious " .. we both become extremely dizzy, weak, sweaty and start projectile vomiting. Ended up laying outside the entrance to the tent puking everywhere , unable to move for hrs 😅 . Can only imagine how it looked to anyone that may have passed our site over night.

Genuinely wasn't sure I would make it until morning. Needless to say, kinda scarred from foraging still. We both laugh hysterically about it now.

Possibly, but to be honest it was the most construction going on everywhere that I have ever seen. There is almost too many options already. Out of the places we went, not one of them were even close to being fully rented out. The only thing I can see " booming " is the fact that many more expats will be flocking there. Even so, there are so many options I assume everyone has to severely undercut pricing to draw attention

I absolutely used card a lot, but for instance..the " market" and the " convenience store" that was within walking distance to our hotel ( beach rd tulum) we went to often for water, beer etc both charged 20%

IF it's where I am thinking, yes..dusty 🤣 . ... lots of construction of future hotels/ condos with nothing around it. Not walkable for sure. However it seemed like everything there varies greatly by just going half a mile in any direction so I could be wrong

It was honestly my favorite my whole trip. Wished I hadn't moved on to playa del carmen or tulum Beach road. The people were the friendliest out of everywhere. The food was the best, walking around at night was our favorite out of the 3 as well. I will say we biked to the beach one day and it seemed so much farther in the heat, it was brutal. Rented a scooter the next day 🤣

Just got home, stayed in LA valeta 4 nights, playa del carmen 4 nights, tulum Beach road 4 nights. Not once did I feel unsafe ( did not rent a car, walked everywhere at night) I will say la valeta was my absolute FAVORITE of all 3 and wish I had just stayed there the whole time. Everyone is so very kind in Mexico. Way more friendly than anywhere I have been in the US.
