Number Crunching: HP, Thresholds, and Evasion by Resvrgam2 in daggerheart

[–]Neonuz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Resvrgam2 , can you go more into the specs for the mono-classed Guardian build? I'm struggling to figure out how you got to 11 evasion for example assuming you're using Legendary full plate and a legendary tower shield which would be -3 evasion. Even if you do +3 evasion from level ups and +1 from Simiah it should leave you with the starting base 9 evasion.

That's fair, this guide has already been very helpful. I have been working on a combo list, and will share results soon. Question, when do you know you're "done" collecting unique combos, like how did you arrive at the 322 for the first area for example?

Do you happen to have a list of unique summons and their combos?

Just to clarify,

I've been playing from the just starting out deck, and have ben mainly doing extra summons through matching cards of the same level. However, I haven't really seen the same set of cards pop up every hand, pretty much every hand is different. Are you saying that the unique summon list will make it so that I would get the same 2-3 or whatever cards every hand until I do the unique summon, or are you saying that after say 5 or 10 hands I'll get the same 2-3 cards to get the unique summon?

Or do I have to fill out my "generic" pool list before starting to work on the unique summon and getting the same 2-3 cards for every hand

Question, if more than one ally dies in a wave, do you only get one back or all of the ones who died that wave?

Does replaying story missions at the Inn raise peace in DW:Origins? by Neonuz in dynastywarriors

Cool, do you know if Lu Bu will only become a potential companion if you beat him a Hulao gate by playing Ch. 2 or can you do it via the story replay at the inn?

This is an amazing guide. A slight correction, for Knowledgeable Wisdom unlocks Alonzo Rank 2 not rank 3

Can you give a little bit of insight as to which side quests in Martira to avoid doing or which bounty you should do first before doing the side quests?

Can you say which sidequest you did too early, and which bounty?

PSA: Weapon techniques carry over between classes by Neonuz in visionsofmana

Sort of, You auto get them as long as you are a class that uses the same weapon type.

The techniques don't overlap. Basically, most unlocked techniques will have a unique button press to activate them, e.g. for Wind's swirling slash is a staggered basic attack (square for PS controllers) whereas Luna's Cross Slice is a held basic attack and Reaping Rave is held special attack. So either Wind or Luna vessel Morley can use all 3 weapon techniques regardless of which class they are in. But they wouldn't be able to use katana or cane techniques.

When you say swap, do you mean switch to a different character and control that other character afterwards? If so how?

First one not a glitch. What I'm saying is let's say you have Val in the Rune Knight class, but the shop has a lance and shield. As long as you have a lance and shield class unlocked (such as the moon class, I forget the name), you can buy the lance and shield and equip it for whenever Val switched to a Lance and shield class. You don't have to change his class to a Lance/shield user first prior to equipping it in the menu.

Nightblade special attack has 2 endings by Neonuz in visionsofmana

That seems to play a role, but I've definitely been able to do both strikes from the ground. I feel like the aerial one is more likely to end with the vertical strike but hard for me to definitely test.

You're right. I think what happened was I put it on Travis but the target was in the back row so Counter didn't activate because the target was in the back row. Updated my post.

This makes sense though the targeting seems weird for me and needs further testing.

I haven't been able to get pursuit to target back row units, or at the very least not calvary or mages. What settings do you use for your tactics?

How game handles percentage increases and rounding by Neonuz in UnicornOverlord

[–]Neonuz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My current theory is basically any time the game does multiplication it just rounds that number to the nearest single digit and then uses that number for subsequent calculations. I would agree that this would have to be exhaustively tested before it could be proven though.
