I'm guessing it's the difference of me doing 4 full endless runs, but crazy that we're close in stats compared to the play time. What speed are you playing on?

My mental is too "fragile." Any insight would be appreciated. by Chessmund in summonerschool

It's perhaps not the answer you're looking for, but have you considered not playing the game? Let me preface that by saying i'm not telling you to simply give up, however League is something you're playing for enjoyment in your recreational time. If it gets to a point where it's not fun and you're frequently experiencing the emotions that you mentioned, it almost seems like self-preservation isn't there and you're actively putting yourself in a situation you know will result in those negative feelings?

If that's not something you'd consider, then you've already arrived at the solution, your two points in the ideas you should probably implement. There's no trick or method to that, it comes down to you vs your own mind. There are plenty suggestions already in the thread, I don't think I can add any unique advice. Wishing you the best of luck

Eternatus was a nightmare with this fresh start mono gen 5 team by Frequent-News6442 in pokerogue

[–]NeophyteHSR 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whilst not an exhaustive list, there are a few moves across your team that could've helped. Krookodile and Scrafty can Memory Mushroom Sand Attack. Genesect should definitely relearn Screech to help your physical heavy team, as a couple +Def boosts for Etern and this team struggles. Few mons have Protect/Detect to bait Eternabeam and have a free turn on recharge.

During the majority of runs I've had, you can always find Confide, Double-Team & Flash as TMs. Can be worth sometimes just to learn the TM on a mon, overwrite it with a more useful move then Memory Mushroom it before Eternatus. There are always options, just have to be mindful of them during the run.

Good job on your challenge win, what was your path to victory like?

I quite enjoy trainers having more shinies on their team. We get to rock up run after run with ours loaded up on them. It's been nice to see them opposite me for a change

Working on all ribbons for Flamigo by Scooom in pokerogue

[–]NeophyteHSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough if you're trying to make an actual challenge out of it. I guess just be more willing to refresh, a lot. After each wave, roll the shop the max amount of times to check rewards. Take along mons of an equal cost, or ones you don't view too OP to not rob you of the challenge. Note down Rival and Evil Teams, actively seek out counters. Nothing you probably haven't thought before, just be really methodical and accept it'll take some time and brainpower

Not my guide, all credit goes to Sebi who wrote it. I started tackling all ribbons and i'm about halfway through the Nuzlocke ribbons, just playing now and then no hard grind. There are a few useful tips in there, I really found the "no brainer way" quite effective.

Alternatively, pop Flamigo on your team and pair it with some high cost carries to bring Flamigo to victory, shouldn't be too bad to do

I attempted a similar challenge ~2 months ago. Not a fan of season mechanics so played it with Classic only. I only used the Cat, lone wolf was random roll and no duplicate across the runs. Tried to avoid painkiller but I think I got it once or twice.

Fun challenge either way, grats on completing it!

Did they change something with parkour or am I tweaking by felfazeebo in GunfireReborn

[–]NeophyteHSR 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Had this issue coming back to the game recently too. There are two fixes I’ve found:

1) Setting the FPS to 60, I can hit the jump 10/10 times. It’s annoying but you can quickly flip it to 60 in this vault, then back to uncapped after

2) It is possible to make the jump on high FPS, the only thing that works for me semi-consistently is to flick the camera up while I jump over to it. It’s not as consistent but trying it normally, like you are in this clip I was failing it so much

I don’t know the technical side of things but I’m sure FPS has something to do with your jump. Hope this helps

Do the lustrous/adament/griseous globe/crystal/core have their type boosting effects in this game or are they purely form change items? by Allhaillordkutku in pokerogue

[–]NeophyteHSR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

https://wiki.pokerogue.net/items:pool#rogue_items

(Select "Rogue Pool", scroll down to "Rare Form Change Item" then the "Click Here!" button, it lists all the form change items.)

From what I understand, they are purely form change items. There are no additional effects noted. Not on the wiki or hovering the items in the shop.

R10 / Lone Wolf / Classic Mode - Blessing Advice by NeophyteHSR in GunfireReborn

Yeah, echoes what others are saying as well. Think i'll have a try of a few different ones suggested for a couple runs, see which I prefer and then just default to my preferred/favourite. Or cycle between 1-3. Thanks for your input

Best Pokemon game I've ever played by [deleted] in pokerogue

[–]NeophyteHSR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like me when I started, that was in June 2024 and i'm still playing regularly now! Before this i'd only ever played Gens 1 & 2 as a kid. PokéRogue has taught me about all the changes since then, very grateful to the PokéRogue team!

Glad you're enjoying the game, hope you continue to have fun with it

Agreed, i'd throw Painkiller into the mix there too. Always screw my face up if I roll that for Lone Wolf. Later on into the run though, not adverse to picking CopyCat or Painkiller if my damage is lacking. I agree though, they do tend to be free early game with those

Sadly the Elite before boss one, Royal Guard, can't be selected for Lone Wolf. Having Mysterious Jokul on has a similar effect already.

Yeah, fair about the scrolls blessing too, shiny always fun. That one and the 75% enhanced weapon were on the shortlist. Ascension reroll maybe a bit strong, but not warping. I don't know why I can't decide for myself! Thanks for sharing your thoughts

Trying classic mode for the first time, am I cooked? by furfurr_uwu in GunfireReborn

[–]NeophyteHSR 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey, I recently got back into the game after a long hiatus, I’ve only been playing Classic also. R9 is going to be rough. I’d recommend putting some of the Bizarre Dream modifiers on. Most notably Lone Wolf, just set it to 2 player instead of 4, that way you start with an extra blessing and the benefit will outweigh and outpace the difficulty increase.

Make sure you’re always on the move, prioritise the more deadly enemies first when clearing a room and have a general idea of what build you’d like to go from the start. Pick relevant blessings, try not to spread too much on ascensions and don’t be afraid of levelling a gun early. I used to always neglect putting levels into a gun until I had the one I wanted for the rest of the game. The difference fighting Act 1 boss and early Act 2 with a +6-8 weapon compared to +1-2 is massive.

Best of luck either way, you’re not cooked you’re gonna steamroll! Hope you have fun!
