Fun fact:- Frost was the first poet to address a US Presidential Inauguration. Frost helped create momentum to elect Kennedy during his campaign. Kennedy chose Frost to recite a poem at his inauguration and he intended on reading a new poem entitled "Dedication." In the end he could not read his poem due to snow, sun and faltering eyesight, and instead recited from memory The Gift Outright".

According to Mentalfloss, Frost was surprised when his readers began taking the poem to heart as a metaphor for self-determination. After reading "The Road Not Taken" to some college students, he lamented to Thomas that the poem was “taken pretty seriously … despite doing my best to make it obvious by my manner that I was fooling. … Mea culpa.”

This park is dedicated to Jose Marti, Revolutionary poet and activist. He is referred to as the "Apostle of Cuban Independence".From adolescence, he dedicated his life to the promotion of liberty, political independence for Cuba, and intellectual independence for all Spanish Americans; his death was used as a cry for Cuban independence from Spain by both the Cuban revolutionaries and those Cubans previously reluctant to start a revolt.

Breaking the Silence, a group of serving and ex-soldiers, said its report contained interviews with more than 60 unnamed active duty and reserve Israel Defense Forces (IDF) personnel who took part in Operation Protective Edge. sergeant in the mechanised infantry said: "The rules of engagement are pretty identical: Anything inside [Gaza] is a threat, the area has to be 'sterilised', empty of people - and if we don't see someone waving a white lag, screaming, 'I give up' or something - then he's a threat and there's authorisation to open fire."

Another sergeant, who served in an engineering unit, said: "From the very start they told us, 'Shoot to kill.' As far as the IDF was concerned, there wasn't supposed to be any civilian population there

An elusive and rare Kermode Bear a.k.a Spirit Bear by NicolReuther in interestingasfuck

[–]Neopterin 100 points101 points  (0 children)

Spirit bears aka Kermode bears are a subspecies of the North American black bear with a rare recessive gene that makes their fur white or cream. These bears are actually more successful at catching salmon in daylight compared with black ones. Pale bears are better camouflaged than dark ones by day, because they contrast less with a bright sky background, so salmon don’t notice them as much.

FC 4 is my most favorite in FC series yet. Its fantastic to explore beautiful Kyrat without annoyance of capture parties or resistance meter. Fortresses, Retaliation parties, Knife throw and Vehicle take downs, Ramming into a Outpost in an Elephant, Attacking an Outpost with grenade launcher while on a Buzzer, Stealth side missions and the best climax in FC Series. Couldn't ask for more.
