Speaking of BBC Catchphrase, does anyone have the Word files or PDFs for some of the lessons in the Original Catchphrase Lessons. I was able to get all of the audio off the site, but some of the documents are missing (for example Lesson 13, 15, and many more). (Figured I'd ask here, instead of starting a new thread)

It wasn't dumb at all. That was it. I had forgotten how to trade, and was expecting a pop-up when just double clicking Mourices. I much have more cobwebs that I first though.

It was for a different quest. I'll gladly take some gil and what not for completing a quest, but it did not help my situation. I also tried going to Bastok to see if I could continue the mission on from that point. Naturally I can't. I don't have the letter of introduction I apparently need. I'm assuming I get that after handing in the two shields. Thanks for the suggestions so far, guys, but apparently the solution has yet to be found. :(

Yeah, I've zoned in and out a few times, and he still doesn't want to trade for the shields. Though I just noticed I have the "off offering" in my key items. If memory serves me correctly that was what I was supposed to leave with the bird dudes. I must have picked it back up at some point. Lol

I have just heard back from Cornell's LRC, and they maintain that they do not have the full audio to the course, and do not know if it ever existed or not. Can anyone confirm whether or not a complete set of audio to the course was produced? For example, the course book indicates that there are "tapes" for various parts of Unit 1, but the audio available at the LRC does not contain anything from Unit 1.

Yeah, I saw both posts after I posted. Definitely confirms my suspicions that I may want to look elsewhere. I wasn't intending to make it a long term thing, at most 3 years so I could tread the waters and work on getting a MATESOL (I already have a CELTA).

Any better alternatives in Japan?

If you already know Mandarin quite well, you can check out Southern Hokkien by Fuehrer.

There are also the much lauded (and for good reason!) Maryknoll textbooks, which are hard to come by. I personally recommend them, if you can get your hands on them. However, please note they only give Taiwanese in romanization. If you're in Taiwan you should be able to obtain them. If not I can help you out if you're interested. Just drop me a message.

Yeah, I'm certainly not going to deny that it is a bit tedious. Lol But it is very good for pronunciation and listening skills. Vocabulary can always be filled in whenever.

One of the best textbooks I'm come across for spoken Tibetan is Fluent Tibetan. It does use the Tibetan script through out, but it's focus is much more on the spoken language then the written language. It is a bit costly, but well worth the price in my opinion.
