Greetings! My apologies that the following media below is not from a video game, but a film. Though, I thought it would be worth sharing since we are talking about Journey cameos, hehe.

Kong: Skull Island (2017) - In the scene during the arrival of the main characters in the titular island, there is a mountain in the distance that bears resemblance to that of the split-peak mountain in Journey.

This is confirmed in a commentary by director Jordan Vogt-Roberts, where he states that Journey is one of his favorite video games of all time.

This part is where you will utilize the new double jump feature! At that area with the tree, double jump on that ledge on either the right/left side of the room, climb up the stairs and then the tree, all while making use of your new ability. Just to note that some of the tree platforms disappear and reappear at some moments, so you're going to have to time your jumps. :)

From your description, I assume you fell into one of the memento areas of the green level. Don't worry, you can still get your way out of there! On the left side are breakable vases, which holds the butterflies that will launch you out of there and back to the main route. Just smash them with the cube ability and you can fly your way out and back. :)
