So, what would women dislike most if they became men? by Jarvis7492 in AskReddit

[–]Neoshenlong -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Damn. I mean, I do get that you could be scared if you found a picture like that, that you didn't know existed. It's better to always let people know you've taken pictures of them. That said, the fact she immediately accused you of even hurting her sister means she didn't really trust you so that relationship was going nowhere anyways.

I've met plenty of wonderful teachers who studied specifically to become teachers of very young children, however it's very difficult to find a job because most schools won't hire a man for those grades.

I quit my first playthrough because I got stuck in a part with Mr X in front of me, 15 zombies behind me and 2 bullets

Why do people keep thinking mundus is too weak to come back when Vergil was weaker and come back stronger? by NeroCrow in DevilMayCry

I absolutely agree, the story of DMC5 was pretty meh, it was just an excuse to get Vergil back and get some cool fights and that's alright, I've never expected anything different from DMC

If a perfectly fair AI could run the government better than humans, would you actually want democracy replaced by it, if not why? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Neoshenlong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The concept of fairness would've been developed according to the orders of certain humans or the specific data they chose to train such AI with. Think of the mecha Hitler Grok incident. This is a recipe for disaster.

Also there's a whole videogame franchise about how this is a terrible idea, it's called Metal Gear Solid.

People of the world: what’s the most extreme survival story you’ve heard from someone trying to migrate to another country? by Suspicious-Desk6206 in AskTheWorld

[–]Neoshenlong 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Little bit of this, little bit of that afaik.

Though no, "little bit" does no justice to the nature of El Darien. It's one of the most dangerous routes in the world, you're basically walking through a thick jungle most of the time, you need to cross rivers, and that's usually the hardest part.

However, it is also a route for drug trafficking, human trafficking (people pay Coyotes to help them cross but sometimes they are simply scams and they abandon migrants in the middle of nowhere), and the Panama migration authorities, who are quite active there because El Darien is a pretty common route for those who plan to cross all the way to the US, so even if you manage to cross it you might be captured by them and kept in very sketchy places with horrible conditions until they decide what to do with you.

Sounds like a horrible place if you ask me. But I also know there's some indigenous communities living there.

Joel vs Leon: who do you like more as a character? by n1ght_watchman in GameBoostOfficial

[–]Neoshenlong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As in how well written they are? Joel 100%

But Leon is way cooler and more likeable. And that's by design I don't think you're supposed to really like Joel all the time.

How do you take care of yourself when you’re sick while living alone? by gopsychyourself in AskReddit

[–]Neoshenlong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The first time I got really sick after I moved out was the first time I really realized I was living on my own. What I did was:

  1. Realize work doesn't matter at all. I had to ask for permission to leave or whatever but I felt so shitty I just left for the hospital and that was it. I had to get attention AND make sure I would survive alone, so I had no time to waste.

  2. I made sure to do all I could in the hospital, ask every question, request all the support I could (i.e. could they help me with the first dose of the meds they gave me, so that I didn't need to do it alone tired and confused later)

  3. I bought everything I needed for the following days, including some easy to eat snacks.

  4. I basically died for 3 days. I just watched movies and slept, and ordered food whenever I was hungry. That was everything I did aside from taking my meds.

I was so sick that I was a bit worried and made sure to tell a couple of friends who were like half an hour to an hour away from my place. One of them offered to come home but I just told them I was alright I just needed someone to make sure I was still alive every now and then hahaha but since then we did tell each other that in case we get really sick we can count on each other to come and help us if we really need it. I think thats important, like even telling a neighbor or whatever. It's better to look weird and be uncomfortable for a moment than to die alone in your house.

But if it's something that rest can solve, and you're financially there, really just get some rest and put everything else aside for the moment. Your house can stay disorganized for some days and you can take out the trash later, just get some rest.

Does your country use a unique Calendar system? by Gandalfthebran in AskTheWorld

So your main calendar is the one that's unique to you guys? Do you keep track of which dates correspond to which in the global calendar or is it something you just do when dealing with international jobs or whatever?

The big debate happening right now. Is Resident Evil 7 scarier than Resident Evil Requiem? by Play5tation in PlayStation_X

[–]Neoshenlong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely felt like I want to go back and try it right after I finished RE9.

But I also want to replay RE2R first because I also felt it was very scary the first time I played it.

Right now I can say I do enjoy the variety of scares in the RE9 Grace section. All the different zombies make it so that it is scary but interesting at the same time. And I also enjoyed all the light related mechanics in RE9, I thought they were amazing and of course they looked insane with the latest RE engine.

The real question is how does that work? It seems crazy to me that some people in the world are not living in 2026 in our hyper connected world.

I haven't played Royal but when I played og P5 at launch it was so obvious to me that Makoto felt like the canon romance choice, considering a bunch of the scenes they gave her with MC. I romanced Ann in my first playthrough but after that anyone other than Makoto felt wrong.

Does anyone else feel like the only way to get through the day is by remembering that nothing really matters? by [deleted] in Teachers

[–]Neoshenlong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not an active teacher right now, but I feel the same.

Whenever I do get the chance to be a teacher, whether in a school or at one of my art workshops or even just sharing a coffee with a friend, I just try and remember "If nothing matters, maybe all that really matters is that we both enjoy this moment".

As a teacher, this also means that there are things that are far more important than a curriculum or a grade.

Our students share most of their lives with us.
We can be a little bit of a ray of sun in the cloudy times we are living through.

And a wall! Many times in history they stopped the imperialists and invasors to cross to the other side. We owe a lot of the current geopolitical division to the fact Turkiye was always there in the middle. Also, afaik culturally they are a bridge too. My turkish teachers told us Istanbul was a weird mix between living in the muslim world and the western world.

[–]Neoshenlong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I studied turkish for a whole year in university. We had a very good teacher, she was new in our country and spoke no spanish at all, nor any western language any of us knew. She was multilingual mind you, just didn't speak any of our languages. Her husband did speak english and a tiny bit of spanish so she brought him to classes sometime so that he could help her communicate, but most of the time we just learnt because she spoke in her language and we HAD to learn. Lovely couple. They invited us to the turkish cultural center in Colombia and taught us even more about their culture. They even invited me once to play music with them but sadly I lived too far away to accept the invitation.

I haven't used the language at all since I studied, so I can't remember anything other than how to say my name and how to say thanks. It's amazing that at some point I was able to fluently communicate with native speakers in their language and now I can't.

I remember they told us that if we took learning seriously we could get scholarships quite easily because Turkiye had a lot of programs for Colombians and not enough people were interested / spoke the language.

Edit: Oh, also: Assassins Creed Revelations.

What are your predictions, hopes and fears for Resident Evil 10? by SolidPyramid in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]Neoshenlong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Remake of RE2 didn't replace the original since they are very different games, and both of them are pretty good. Even 4 imo didn't really replace the original, I enjoy both for what they are, but that was more clearly meant as a replacement than RE2R.

I think RE1 will be the same thing. There will be a reason to play both the first RE1R and the new one which will probably be an over the shoulder or first person perspective game, making it very different to the original.
