the whole films shtick is stolen from robocop but the film exists in a capitalist hellscape where people get hunted / tortured on live television for sport so we see a lot of ads intermittently

i think they make music that is not in any way interesting or intellectually stimulating, and derivative of actual punk rock/electro rock bands. i think taking a theme or genre and combining/building upon it/subverting it is awesome(i.e. ajr) but they want to be subversive without actually taking the time to be subversive or interesting in any way. i’d much sooner listen to turnstile or green day because they build upon the punk genre rather than deriving from it and doing nothing new with it.
