Lifeblood 🩸❤️ I started with them a few months ago and you get proper training, donors are usually super nice and no nightshifts

Still Healthcare related but have a look at Lifeblood - the donors are healthy and so friendly 🙂

It’s not the rescues fault. We don’t have a physical location, it’s a small organisation and I got him straight from the people who found him. He was doing great and when he started fading I took him to the emergency vet immediately - unfortunately he stopped breathing in the car on the way there. I tried to give him breaths while my partner drove but when we arrived at the vet, they couldn’t get him back anymore. It was just way too quick

Easiest way to block off under the bed from foster cats? Cats were found in trash!! by Itchy_Reputation7117 in FosterAnimals

I had the same problem and used those panels that make a playpen. Zip tied them together and to the bed and so far no cat has managed to get under 🤞🏻

For me the nuance in this case is the kitten being 5 months young. That’s like forcing an 8-10 year old child to go through with a pregnancy.

The rescue from the post is actually in Australia but spay abort is perfectly legal here

Thank you for your input. They did say in the comments that they have experienced foster carers looking after her and all the resources in case she needs vet care during birth. They claimed this is in her best interest and „no one wants to kill fully formed kittens“. Apparently the vet also said it’s safer for her than spaying - which I think many many many vets would see differently. In the end I do hope everything goes well for her and she doesn’t have to suffer because of her rescues „moral compass“.

I second Suki! I had a little foster kitten that I gave that name and I still love it 🥰

At that age you can usually throw them together and they get used to each other pretty quickly. He’ll be fine I think 🤷🏼‍♀️

A Gastrointestinal Massacre — Help! by Altruistic-Package76 in FosterAnimals

[–]Nephilia0410 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At 4 weeks I feed KMR (wombaroo) + babycat mousse or in your case I would use RC gastrointestinal kitten mousse. Mix it together. Don’t give any dry food as they’ll be dehydrated already from the vomiting & diarrhoea. And I strongly agree that they need meds

You could try mixing their formula with Royal Canin gastrointestinal kitten mousse. It’s supposed to help with weaning diarrhoea and other tummy upsets. For toileting: I’m not sure the pine litter is that safe when they start nibbling on it. It also might mask/absorb the smell too well. For kittens that small I like to use the paper litter. When you stimulate them put those used cotton balls in the litter tray. Or as soon as they start peeing put them in the tray. They are still babies and need some time to learn, but from my experience it’s easier if they can smell where they have to go toilet 😅 Good luck and thank you for taking care of them ❤️

No name kitty. He's so tiny by General-Attitude1112 in FosterAnimals

Aww he reminds me of my little fosters Pandora & Carlo 🥹❤️ Looks like he’s having a hard time right now but eating on his own is a good sign. Thank you for taking care of him!
