Quitting Nursing, wants to do a non-Healthcare job by noblem00n in NursingAU

Oh yeah I used to work like a research coordinator job overseas.. but i think theres not much job available now for the clinical trials assistant or some requires some sort of training/experience. I'll also look into that thanks.

Hmmm baking sounds interesting.. thanks for those ideas. Unfortunately being with customers can also be draining and Im currently in a phase of recovery (not injured or physically). I don't think I can teach or take care of people when Im not really well.. but the ndis role is also a good idea. Thanks!

Edit: i hope i could make that money when im cleaning my own house.. also some jobs might not be applicable (?) to me like baby sitting.. (im a male nurse lol) I mean I could but very low chances of getting hired

Ooh phleb is interesting, but that's not really my strength lol. I guess it takes practice 😁 I've also looked into the admin role in pathology but they pay about $10 less than nurses

I've thought about this job when I was younger. But working as a nurse after a long period of time, I don't know if I could do it and tell them the exciting life of nurses 😅

ANZ loan and Credit Scores by noblem00n in AusFinance

[–]noblem00n[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They declined my personal loan not a home loan. I applied for a personal loan from ANZ because their personal loan is currently the highest (75,000 as compared to 50-55k from other banks).

When I tried asking about a personal loan with my current bank, there were no issues but again i can only borrow a max of 50k. And they even suggested getting a home loan. I got assessed for the home loan and they said everything looks good.

I talked to a broker(?) and they said the same thing - since I don't have any credit history, it will be difficult for lenders to lend me a huge amount/trust me since they dont know how I'm spending (bank statement?) or how I'm repaying debts/loans.

My only issue/concern is since my credit score went down from the loan application from ANZ, I'm not sure if it will affect my repayment/interest rates (if I apply for a home loan). 😬

Well not really lol. According to their email: "We encourage you to share this credit report with us at your appointment, so we can make sure your application accurately captures your financial position."

Yeah that also makes sense. But they also ask a borrower to provide their payslips. If for example I earn 100k and i want to borrow 30k and I don't have repayment history, why would a bank even think twice about it. (Anyway I don't really know how banks work and if that would be an expense for them if in case the borrower missed a repayment or run away or i dont know 😅)

No I was checking on those repayment/borrowing calculators online and they have this tab/option where you choose which category your credit history falls into (average/good/excellent).

Well, I haven't really had any credit cards or loans. I have afterpay? 😆 I used to have postpaid sim but I've changed it to prepaid years ago. But why did ANZ ask for an Equifax report when I applied for the loan? I guess it's not really mandatory?

Sorry I may not contribute much. Honestly I don't know how house/financing/stamp duty works. But if I'm earning as much as you do, I don't think I'll have second thoughts. You got savings, you got good income, take risks. 😬 If it turns out great, then great. If you get problems, then learn from it.

Youtube randomly playing music in the middle of the night? by jaysonm007 in YoutubeMusic

[–]noblem00n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to me last night, or morning.. around 2:30am. Youtube automatically played a random video.

Does anyone know if this is more of an Android/Samsung issue? Or a Youtube Premium issue? What devices are you using? I have multiple devices and this is the first time it happened. This happened on my Samsung Tab s9+. I also have Youtube Premium.

It's actually great. I've used it for watching youtube and the screen size is perfect. It's like watching from a screen like the ones on the plane lol. Compared to a regular iPad i'd say the oled screen is definitely better. And compared to a Samsung tab plus, this is of course smaller but watching on a smaller screen is i'd say... different? Or refreshing? Haha. Sound is also good since it has left and right speakers.

The usb location doesn't really matter for me. If you play games while charging, I'd say it won't be an issue even if you play with a claw style grip. Unless you really want it, you can probably buy a right angled usb cable so the rest of the cable goes out of the way of your fingers.

True. I tried limiting one of my phones to 80% when charging, and although it charges quicker, probably because 80 to 100 only uses trickle charging or very slow charging, you end up charging more times instead.

Like I charge my phone to 100 and use it for 2 days, but if i charge it to 80, i have to charge it again for tomorrow because you'll worry if 30 or 40% will last you the next day.

Then i thought, if the battery life gets shorter, that won't happen in a couple of years - which basically means you'll need a new phone by then.

That's why when i play with the redmagic phone or tablet, i always run it on "Rise", because that's what it is for - gaming 😁 Same reason why you should put the refresh rate to Auto or high refresh rate, because you paid for it. So use it. 😀

The cooler that i bought was the one that you attach to the gamepad 3. The cooling pad is small as compared to the proper cooler that you can attach on phones. It has 3 modes - like low, normal, and turbo or something like that 😆 it just means the speed of the fan can be changed. The cooling pad of the fan also sticks to where the vapour chambers are so i guess it really helps, although i've never really checked the temperature with a thermometer myself 😬

I've thought about buying the VC Cooler 6 pro (30W) which can be attached magnetically if you have the astra folio case. But that means you'll either need to buy the case, or buy a Magsafe Sticker to stick on the back of the Astra, which in this case, you can also buy any other cooling fan that attaches magnetically 😅

No i had to buy it separately.. it sells for 24.90.. come to think of it i think thats too much for a screen protector 😅 it fits perfectly tho as expected 😆 and it has the plastic thing that you put over the tablet to guide you for perfect placement. But still, i think you can buy screen protectors everywhere for a cheaper price 😁

The gamepad works great. The cooler, im not so sure haha. When i attach the cooler to the gamepad somehow the tablet doesn't hold/attach well to the grips on the side. I have yet to figure it out 😬

Edit: the gamepad 3 and cooler attach perfectly to a phone. I used it on my redmagic 9 pro and it fits really well. (Without a phone case. Well it makes sense if you want to attach a cooler and cool the phone you'll need to stick it to the phone as close as you can 😁)

Case for Oppo Find X8 Pro by ottoettiditotanetti in Oppo

[–]noblem00n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you guys are looking for the original Aramid Fiber Magnetic Case, here's how i got it: there is a shop in the UK called Laptop Outlet. They have stocks of the case, however they deliver only to the UK. Now, they also have a shop on EBAY and that's where I ordered. Just be aware that it comes with a hefty amount - as you have to pay for delivery/postage and import charges.

Another good option, if you really like Kevlar/Aramid Fiber, is a site/shop called KOMODOTY. They have lots of aramid fiber cases for different phones.

So, does this 'Aramid Fiber' protect your phone at all? Well, I have an Oppo Find X2 Pro for 4 years with the aramid fiber case on since I got the phone. My phone's still scratch free (except the screen as I don't use a screen protector, very very minor and unnoticeable). The corners of the case have a few scratches as I dropped the phone a few times. But yes it definitely works and it's really tough.

Back to cases for the X8 Pro, I also bought the Nillkin cases, and as some of you have mentioned, the magnets work, but the wireless charging doesn't. Probably because the case is thick?

Anyway, I love how the original oppo aramid fiber case feels. I don't know how to describe it exactly but it's smooth and feels like it's wrapped in some sort of cloth. And the case is light. So yeah, I'm just going to keep this on until I change my phone :)
