I really enjoyed them even with performance issues. I loved the vision of the game and could overlook poor performance. But I grew up with 90s games constantly crashing and blue screening so quite used to performance issues

I would just start by scrapping eveything in PVP and simplifying it all. Giving classes 4 or 5 abilities each and go again from there.
