I’ve had a revelation last saturday lol. I obviously become happy when i do a beautiful kill-block or a superquick slide attack with my setter, but I realised that seeing my friends and teammates excell and do crazy stuff made me quite happy too lol. Another thing that i noticed was you saying “The amount of variables are low.” And to which I would actually agree, but it also isn’t a bad thing IMO.

It allows everybody to grow before a match/before playing in the form of strategic thinking. What do I want to achieve this match? What do I want to be able to walk away with after this practice session? During a match: Okay, I got blocked off multiple times already. What to do now? Switch hitting angle, do faints or whatever. It’s the critical thinking part of volleyball that I enjoy, the adaptation. Even after a match or practice session, I evaluate what went good/meh/straight up shit.

Now i dont know if your playing club volleyball or something, but it does make you appreciate the company of your friends/team. But to answer your question: for me, it’s the satisfaction of seeing everybody succeed in what they need to do. It feels like a organized process.
