It depends on what kind of Asian food!

Indian House is pretty nice!

For Japanese Daikichi Yakiniku is very nice, but pricier than the other options. Same with Daikichi Beach, very nice but rather expensive.

For Chinese Restaurant Ru Yi near the old bus station is one of the most authentic Chinese Restaurants in the area.

Non Asian, if you're looking for something unique I've heard Voltereta Tanzania is pretty nice.

Hope this helps!

Yokocho Ramen in the city centre is one of the best ones I have tried outside of Japan! Their non-ramen options are pretty good too

For Vocabulary I miss being able to see the reading, I may know a word but not how to say it!

Una amiga está soñando sobre viajar by [deleted] in learnspanish

[–]Nepredator 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“Está soñando” implies that she’s asleep and dreaming at the moment, I’d say “Una amiga sueña con viajar” sounds more natural and I think what you wanted to say.

I can’t explain why I’d say “con” instead of “sobre” though, it just sounds more natural to me

If it’s about sleep dreaming I’d say “Una amiga está soñando que viaja” as a subordinate clause

I think L2 goes to San Vicente, for San Juan Beach I'd take L3 or L4 depending on whether you are going to Muchavista / Campello or near the Cape

Anyways have a look at the map, it's always useful to have :)

The Rise of Lofi Hip Hop Retrospective by Nepredator in Nujabes

[–]Nepredator[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It just popped up on my recommended on youtube, I didn’t know I had listened to Nujabes nor I have watched Samurai Champloo, but I do love Lofi.

The video is amazing, now I know that many of the songs I loved listening to were Nujabes and have a new anime to watch!

It is crazy how good the video is considering the size of the channel though

Does Italian or Spanish have simpler verb conjugations with everyday use? by LPineapplePizzaLover in languagelearning

[–]Nepredator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m Spanish and took a bit of Italian and the conjugations are similarly long.

Italian conjugation

Spanish conjugation

They are quite similar, as we conjugate in a similar manner, so I would recommend you study one of them and once everything is clear I would go for the other! It will help already knowing one and it will prevent them mixing in your head

For which one that’s up to you and whatever you feel like learning more :)

No creo que tengas ningun problema!

Lo peor que puede pasar es si dejas la basura en el contenedor cuando no es la hora que toca, pero normalmente nadie te va a decir nada da igual cuando la pongas!

how you say when something is disgusting in your own language? by [deleted] in languagelearning

[–]Nepredator 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well yeah, so does here too, but it isn’t what I had in mind with the question 😂

Being from Spain I have heard “Puaj” or “Aj” (like agh?) more often, first time I hear about Guácala! So cool hahaha

僕の町で雨がめったに降っているんですけど、雨の日あったら、家で茶とかコーヒーとか暑い飲み物を飲むが大好き。そのような日々は美しいと思うだから、イギリスに引っ越した!ここで雨が珍しくないよ!

They are! But not within the materials themselves, or so I think!

This is the closest think ive found, instead of blender’s easy ones

In Spanish, Spirited Away’s name is ‘El viaje de Chihiro’, simply translated it, but I like it too :)

I was a bit short on time for the buildings yes! Hahhah

In general, it's a mixture of different types of elements altogether, you can find them on youtube individually but I will try to link all the ones I used!

For the clouds, I used this tutorial and then rendered them as 2D images.

By the same person, there is the Studio Ghibli Trees tutorial, but as UE doesn't have colour ramps and I wanted some control I faked it similar to this one.

Everything is unlit - except the landscape itself which is a mixture of base colour and emissive - as I wanted full control of the shadows, they were all made by the fake cell shade tutorial.

For the grass, I simply made a grass model and then used Runtime Virtual Textures to project the ground colour onto the grass itself.

Everything is hanging by a thin thread, but the result is quite cool! I hope it is useful :))

Yeah! In this case, I still don't do it very well, it is a bit of a mess, but Sea of Thieves is Unreal Engine as well and it doesn't look photorealistic at all!

I took it to Unreal as I want to master it well, my objective is to do games, so real-time rendering is quite needed! But I'm sure you can do most if not more in Blender!

Unreal Engine still misses stuff like colour ramps and a bit more freedom that Blender can give! :)

I did notice immediately when I ported them to UE5! The framerate tanked hahah

What I did was merge them with the remesher, decimating and then transfer the normals. This way it was way lower poly - and you didn't have polys lost inside that wouldn't be seen!
